Intro

Karup's is a pretty well known name in the adult internet biz as they have been around for many years. Hometown Amateurs is no exception and as the title suggests the focus is on amateur style models. Besides that it's kind of an all encompassing amateur collection with exclusive content as they have sections dedicated to solo softcore, girls with toys, and hardcore. The samples on the guest tour are representative of the girls and content styles available in the member's area.

The Pros

Tons of Exclusive Content, Nice Updates & Years of Archives.

Karups HA has content going back to the early part of the decade and they've compiled a huge database of both pictures and videos. The numbers of both of those are well into the thousands. Updates come just about daily and they seem to spread them around pretty well as there doesn't seem to be any neglected content sections.

Sexy Girl-Next-Door Type Models w/ Softcore, Toys, & Hardcore.

The models are a real plus as they fit well with the amateur theme. While there are some familiar faces in the mix the bulk of the girls are new to me. The content covers all the bases with solo softcore stripping, masturbation/toys, and hardcore boy/girl and girl/girl.

High-Res Pictures w/ Zips, Full-Video WMV Files & Flash.

The content options on the newer content are solid with galleries having high-resolution images along with a more standard level. Zip files are available for every gallery across the site. The videos have WMV full-files and clips along with in-browser Flash streaming. While they're not all that varies the pic/vid choices work well for this content.

Niche Categorization, Model Index, & Advanced Search Tools.

Niche sections included Babes, Athletic, Ethnic, Outdoors, Toys, Hardcore, Softcore Movies, and Hardcore Movies. Each of those has a chronological listing of content within the section. An alphabetical model index and advanced search are also helpful. Gallery and video pages have the model names hyperlinked making it easy to jump to any model's other appearances.

Other Good Stuff:

Galleries and videos are date-stamped with update information showing when they were added to the site.
Clear file size information is posted for each movie and gallery zip file.
Members can rate models on a 10-point scale and the ratings are pretty useful.

The Cons

Majority of Videos Have Clip Segments Only & No Flash Streams.

There is a noticeable drop-off in the video options once you get past the newer updates. It seems they upgraded the options in mid-2009 so WMV clip segments are the only viewing/downloading format for movies prior to that. No Flash streaming (or WMV streams for that matter) is available either.

No High-Res Images on Older Galleries.

The high-resolution pictures are available on a good amount of the galleries going back several years (until late 2006 or so). Once you get past these the quality remains nice but not up to the high-res level of those new pics. The bulk of galleries have only just one picture size.

No Model Information or Details Provided.

The model index has dedicated pages for each girl with links to each of their photo and video appearances. What they don't have is any details on the models themselves. Even if no detailed biographical info is shown they could give us some stuff like age, country of origin, breast size, etc.

Minor Negatives:

Must click on "View this set in High-Res" link to bring up high-res images (for galleries where they're available).
They could use one or two more download formats in addition to the WMV.
There are some upsell ads in the member's area mostly for Karup's other paysites.

Bottom Line

Karups HA is a straightforward site with a huge collection of exclusive amateur pics & vids.

Karups isn't a site that dazzles with a cutting edge design but this is a quality collection of amateur content. I should say the design actually is quite functional although not overly polished. The girl-next-door type models and mix of softcore and hardcore makes this a well-rounded site. They do very well in terms of quantity and have obviously been upgrading the content quality and options. The main drawback is that back in the archives there is a drop-off in video formatting and quality and there is some of that in the pictures too. All told the positives definitely outweigh the negatives and I like what Karups has available.
