Intro

Black Ice Pass is an ebony DVD download site with several hundred full length movies available. The site is actually part of a mini-network where members also get access to the company's other studio DVD sites Zero Tolerance On Demand and Third Movies. As with those two Black Ice Pass is a studio dedicated collection with movies from this particular Black Ice Studios production company. The guest tour is very much an open book layout in that visitors can browse the movies, scenes, and pornstar list just as members see it so spending a few minute there will let you know exactly what they have to offer. In fact while ebony is the main focus you'll also see a good amount of interracial titles and scenes.

The Pros

Lots of Black Ice Studios Ebony & Interracial Hardcore DVDs.

A couple of things separate Black Ice Pass from other DVD download sites with the main one being they are a studio collection of Black Ice content. Also the narrow focus on ebony and interracial is noteworthy. Beyond that the action is everything you'd expect from a movie sites like this with hardcore banging of all kind from one-on-one to groupsex. The models range from familiar pornstar chicks along with some amateur girls. In terms of quantity the several hundred total movies are full DVDs so that equates into over a thousand individual scenes.

Nice Movie Options, Full-Scene MP4/WMV & HD Section.

While there is some variation in terms of formats available depending on a movie's age there is consistency in that full-scene downloads in multiple formats and in-browser streaming are always available. Newer movies have MP4 h.264 HD quality (and a couple other levels) AVI, WMV, and iPod formats. The streaming is in-browser Flash which buffers quickly, All-in-all the downloading and viewing choices are a notable positive. I particularly like the fact that in both the DVD and scene sections there are pages just for the movies with HD quality available. You don't have to hunt-and-peck for those.

The look of the site is fitting that of a studio collection like this. They have separate section for navigating the collection by DVD, individual scenes, plus a model index. As I mentioned in my review intro the guest tour gives visitors a chance to browse thing thoroughly before joining which I also like.

Other Good Stuff:

In-browser Flash streaming is available along with other MP4 and WMV foramts for streaming. For the downloads they post clear file size information.
Bonus sites included: Zero Tolerance On Demand and Third Movies. These are similar studio sites with downloadable DVD content.
These guys have set up a special discount price for TBP users which makes the cost lower than their standard rate.

The Cons

Average Download Speed & Many Very Large Movie Files.

As a reviewer I've had the opportunity to review the other sites from this company in the recent past and the download speeds seem fairly average across the board. They come for me around 400-700KB so I found myself using my download manager (software: IDM) to save the movies since that did speed up the process. The HD movie files range from around 1GB to 2GB so saving the scenes can take a significant amount of time.

Download Options/Quality Varies on Older Movies.

This is important to note since the HD quality is touted by the site and I noted it as a positive as well. The older movies here have WMV instead of Flash streaming and also good quality WMV and XVid as the download formats. If you browse chronologically it's certainly easier to stick to the HD movies but using the model index or keyword search will probably lead you to scenes that have the older formats rather than the newer choices. Also note that the full HD movies are in the MP4 format and WMV is a more standard quality level. WMV fans will want to pay attention to that.

Minor Negatives:

Update pace is average and they have vague update info like how many days, months, or years ago the item was added.
The pornstar model index is missing pictures for a decent number of the models. Also, there's no way to filter by model physical characteristics.
When opening a scene page the in-browser stream always starts playing which some surfers may not like.

The other

Pictures galleries are available on the site as well. These are secondary content however they do have a dedicated section for the pictures and zip files for downloading the galleries.
The included bonus sites are linked to from Black Ice Pass's member's area and login re-entry is not required when visiting the other sites.

Bottom Line

An impressive collection of Black Ice Studios ebony/interracial DVDs with some HD level movies.

For surfers looking for black hardcore downloadable DVDs the Black Ice is a good choice. This company also does a lot of interracial movies so that's in the mix as well only serves to add to the variety. While you will get varying movie options depending on the age of the video they have upgraded to very impressive options that include HD level downloads. Other than the average download speeds most everything else is positive here as it is a quality site that gives members bonus access to two other movies sites to boot.
