Intro

Barely Legal is Hustler's teen themed site and it features hardcore DVDs/videos and standalone and magazine issue photo galleries. Hustler is one of those companies with name recognition so most users have a good idea what to expect going in with regards to them having magazine and studio style content rather than raw amateur stuff. The site has been online for quite a number of years and they've redesigned and revamped it a few times so it's been steadily improving in terms of layout.

The Pros

Huster Barely Legal DVDs/Scenes, Photos, & Issue Galleries.

The content includes hardcore DVD movies from the Barely Legal and Hustler brand names with series that hit on themes like campus girls, schoolgirls, teens, girl-next-door, barely legal, etc. Movies can be browsed by DVD or video scenes and include hardcore action of all types with lots of girl/guy banging but also lesbian, groupsex, toys, etc. The photos are more weighted towards solo model stripping and posting but there is hardcore in there as well. Magazine issue archives have photo sets from the current release back to March 2000.

Good Sized Site, 100's of DVDs, Lots of Scenes & Galleries.

The total number of DVD is in the hundreds and that translates into a couple thousand individual video scenes. With the hundreds of galleries and then the issue archives the site does well in terms of quantity. Although updates aren't fast they do consistently add a handful of DVDs and photo sets monthly.

Full-Scene WMV/MP4 Downloads & In-Browser Flash Streaming.

Video quality and options have steadily improved over the years here. Newer movie addition have WMV and QT file downloads with HD levels at 3100k 1280x720. Even with the varying options depending on the age of a scene the WMV full-scene download and Flash streaming are consistently available which makes for a good foundation.

Other Good Stuff:

The download speeds I was getting were quite solid at around 1.2-1.5MB/sec which is faster than I see from the majority of paysites. This makes for relatively fast saving of the movies files which come in around 200-700MB depending on the quality.
There are some navigation filters including niche sections, a text model index, and 'sub-sites' which are essentially sections featuring different categories of content.
Content items are date-stamped with update information and file size info is provided for the downloadable movies files.

The Cons

Varying Video Format/Quality Options, Lower Quality Older Vids.

The newer movies with the HD level and even those with MP4 to go along with the WMV are definitely in the minority here. The bulk of the videos have more average quality and WMV only for the downloads. Unless you're looking at the very newest movies the levels and options aren't exactly up to the level you'd like to see from a company like this.

No Photo Gallery Zips, Picture Viewing Could Be Better.

Picture options are a weakness here particularly since you think of Hustler first and foremost as a company founded with magazines with pictorials. Here the full sized newer images are good at 1500x1000k but things are frustrating beyond that. There are no zip files available which is unusual nowadays. Also, when opening a picture a small sized image first appears then you must click two more times to see the full sized image. There wasn't any way to set viewing to always see larges pictures. I also didn't see any way to filter or search in the photo section like they have for the videos.

Minor Negatives:

There is a 'Models' page with preview thumnails and some bio info however it's incomplete with just a few dozen girls and it doesn't even link thru to the content items. The text-only model list has 100's of girls and does link to their appearances.
Magazine issues only features photo gallery sets and nothing really beyond that. It's unclear as to whether these image sets are also found in the site's main photo section or if they are just in the issue archive area.
There are quite a number of member's area upsell ads like banners for other paysites and DVDs. The trial membership is also limited access.

The other

Barely Legal members do get access to the main Hustler site. A link from the member's area allows members to navigate there without having to re-enter login details.

Bottom Line

Barely Legal is Hustler's teen themed brand with hardcore movies & softcore photo sets of young adult models.

Hustler continues to improve things here as Barely Legal is no doubt one of their more popular brands. The site offers up a nice collection of hardcore DVDs with all types of action and the inclusion of HD movies on newer additions is good to see. Overall downloading options aren't as consistent as I'd like particularly on the photos where they don't have the option for zip downloads. Still this is a solid collection featuring sexy young adult pornstar babes in a wide variety of action.
