Spin Ups is up for review today, and this is one of those sites with a great concept that can sometimes be hard to get people hooked on. The idea is unique, as they somehow manage to film these pinup-style girls while spinning in full 360 degree motion. Not a whole lot happens, but it's more than a still image being rotated as there's some movement. There are no traditional pics or videos here, but the price is pretty good at $2 for a three-day trial, and then just $10 a month.

The theme here is what will really get people hooked from the get go. It's fun to try, and it's different than what you usually see on picture or video only websites out there. Plus, it's not just a static image that rotates, though it's not a full movie either. It's a bit of an in-between with a rotating model with a little movement. It's like she's on a spinning platform right in front of you.
The models do have biographies here to let you get to know them a bit. They aren't huge, but I'm glad they have some kind of personality up on the site.
Their content is exclusive of course, which is pretty obvious when you check out the type of material they have.
Pretty small collection overall.
There are six models with over 100 of these spin ups between them. If they were 100 videos at around 25 minutes each, that would be a more average-sized site, but these spinups are over in a few seconds once you get all the way around. It just doesn't take you long to get through a lot of them unfortunately.
Updates seem slow.
They only list the latest update date for each model, but those are spread out at least monthly at best, which isn't great. Plus, I don't think a whole model is added, but maybe just a new spin up. I have no idea really, since it's tough to tell what the specifics are, but don't expect new spin ups daily, or even weekly.
Too many galleries are labeled as "new" here, which gets distracting. How can so many be the newest ones?
The quality could be slightly better here overall. They definitely look worse than most photos you come across, and even worse than most videos you see these days as well. I think they could do a little better.
Where's the auto-spin? If you assume most people join a porn site to jack off, how the hell are you supposed to do that here when your hand has to be on a mouse or keyboard just to get some movement? Assuming these are short, looped videos essentially, why not offer a downloadable version (in higher quality??) to let people play around with it as they wish. Hell, even make it a PPV thing for downloads.
A unique idea, but for a lot of people, it just won't be enough to keep them around very long.
The idea behind Spin Ups is the best thing they've got going for them. The content is different at least, but in the end, I think the negatives start to outweigh the positives pretty quickly. There's not a ton of content up, probably because it's more difficult to shoot than usual. The quality is just okay, with lower quality than you usually see in pictures or videos on other sites. They don't update often, with the last update over a month ago, and I'm not even sure how large that update was. I think it's a cool gimmick to check out to satisfy your curiosity, but once you've been inside for a bit, it's tough to want to stick around for too long for me.
