Intro

Yes-Movies is an archive of hardcore Japanese DVD movies that are offered in full DVD length downloadable files. Usually DVD sites break things down by scene for the purposes of viewing and downloading but Yes-Movies has their downloads at full DVD length at 90-100 minutes or so. The main tour page has a few taglines one of which is that the movies are 'uncensored' which is notable since Japanese movie sites often have some content with blurring/censoring. These guys state that they feature movies of the uncensored variety. I can't speak to all the content however hte movies I sampled did not have any blurring.

The Pros

Large Collection of Hardcore Uncensored Japanese DVDs.

Japanese movies are a clear subset of the larger Asian niche and Yes-Movies focuses in on just Japanese hardcore DVDs. They feature hardcore banging of all sorts with Japanese pornstars throughout. The do state that they feature uncensored movies and I did not run into any of the blurring so often found on Japanese porn. From what I can tell they are all or mostly all uncensored. The do have a sizable archive here and the site has been around for quite a number of years.

Full-DVD Downloadable Movie Files.

Unlike most other DVD and movie sites these guys offer their movies in full-DVD downloadable files so you get all the scenes at once. Generally they are in DivX format with some in AVI and others in WMV. Some users will like the opportunity to get full length titles in one file instead of saving multiple scenes.

Other Good Stuff:

There's some good information on the movies including the box covers, movie file size info, pornstar names, etc.
While videos are definitly the focus of things a section of photo galleries is also available with mostly solo model sets. Images are mostly sized at either 1218x853 or 995x674.
Download speeds are decent and I was able to use my download manager (software: IDM) so it didn't take an overly long time to save these DVDs which come in around 700MB to 1GB.

The Cons

Large Full-DVD Files Only, No Scene Breakdown Offered.

While I listed the full length DVDs as a plus it is also a negative as well. Users expect the ability to get individual scenes and here it's not the case. The only way to get things is on one big ol' file and they are quite sizable at 700MB to 1GB on average. When watching the movie there is no scene breakdown so you have to hunt-and-peck to find the end of a scene or beginning of the next one.

Most Vidoes are in DivX, Only One Format Available per Movie.

The formatting is really limited especially for a movie site. Only one format and quality level is available for each movie with no in-browser streaming option at all. Nowadays with site offering more options, higher-def levels, and dynamic Flash streaming Yes-Movies really lags behind in this area.

Minor Negatives:

Some of the movie pages don't have the file size information shown. Most do but for some reason some movies I went to had that field blank.
Navigation could be improved since they only have niche categories and a keyword search. A collection this size would be aided by a model index and an advanced search/filter tool.
In addition to the box covers there are only four preview thumbnails which is a really small number for full length movies. More of these would help users get a feel for the action before having to save the full DVD.

The other

The content is Japanese DVD titles so it is not exclusive.

Bottom Line

A sizable archive of hardcore Japanese DVDs with only full-DVD downloadable files on the movies.

Really the two things that stand out about Yes-Movies are that it focuses in on just Japanese porn and also the fact that they have full length movie downloads without any other options. Other than that it's a solid archive of hardcore action with a side section of solo softcore photo galleries of Japanese models.
