Intro

Tommy D is home to this solo gay performer and the site is also part of the Next Door Pass network which includes other individual guy sites as well as many 'Next Door' themed niches. Tommy has a collection of solo and hardcore videos and photo galleries. Interestingly he has retired from the business so as of 2010 so new content is no longer being added here. Usually that would be quite a significant issue however in this case it's mitigated by the fact that he had a good run that allowed the site to build up several years of archives plus the network access helps too. Guests can get a good feel for his content from the tour samples.

The Pros

Exclusive Gay Content with Bisexual & Straight Sceens Too.

Tommy has all sorts of guy/guy hardcore action along with himself in solo jerking off as well. It's also a real plus that he adds even more variety with things like groupsex, straight sex with girls, and there are even a couple of tranny scenes. For a solo guy focused site there are lots of other models in the mix which is quite nice as well.

Balanced Video & Photo Collection, Sizable Amount of Each.

This site was active for several years and with all the content items date-stamped you can see he was actively updating both the video and photo areas along the way. There are around two hundred fifty of each which is impressive for a solo guy site like this.

Full-Scene WMV Files & Flash Streaming; Fast Downloads.

Video options are consistent across the board with movies available in full-scene WMV downloads in two quality levels. In-browser Flash streaming works well and about 1/3 of the scenes are tagged HD and have high-def Flash which looks very nice. The download speeds I was getting here were above average at around 2MB/sec.

Other Good Stuff:

Tommy did regular blog entries when he was active and the archives are available online. Actually he has begun to post occasional entries recently about his life in general even though he's not actively in the biz anymore.
Access to the Next Door Pass network is included which is a highly rated gay network that includes a sizable portfolio of solo guy and niche sites.
Site design is professional with straightforward browsing including niche categories and a models list.

The Cons

No Longer Updating, Tommy is No Longer Working in Porn.

This is one of those sites that has run its course in terms of new content updates. Generally network niche sites that become stagnant just do so without warning however Tommy D let everyone know on his blog that he has left the business after a successful porn career and is moving onto other things. Content updates were last made in 2010 as the site will simply remain as-is from now on.

Lower Quality Older Content; HD Videos are in Flash Streaming.

The video quality does dip on the older movies with somewhat grainer movies that aren't widescreen ratio. The HD tags that are posted on the movies refer to the Flash streaming. If I had my preference the WMV downloads is where the HD would be at so users could save that level to their computer.

Minor Negatives:

No photo gallery zip files are available on the photo galleries. There also aren't any video file size details on the WMV files.
The 'Actor' star index is a text-only list which would have been better if they had a full index wtih preview pictures.

The other

Network bonus sites can be accessed directly from the Tommy D XXX member's area. There is a list of sites on the header that links to to the rest of the network and login re-entry is not required.

Bottom Line

Tommy D has a nice mix of gay hardcore, solo scenes, & some girl/guy action.

Tommy had a good run with this site and even though he has stepped away from porn the site still has good value since it has a nice amount of content and is part of a larger network. The blending of gay hardcore, solo, and some girl/guy action is fairly unique so that's probably the thing that stands out most here.
