3rd Degree Movies is up for review today, and this is a DVD site that offers up their own content they shoot in house. Take a look around the tour, and you'll see they stick to pretty basic porn settings, with maybe a slight lean towards keeping things hardcore (I'd say there's more anal and stuff than usual). The content is all original, but I can't tell how exclusive it all is since it is out on DVD as well. $20 a month gets you in the door thanks to a special discount they've setup for our users, and that also gets you in to two other similar DVD sites here.
The Pros
Decent-sized site; updates come regularly.
There's a lot to see here for sure. You can't quite compare them to the DVD mega-sites that pull in content from several sources, but they're doing quite well here. Photo galleries are over 1,400. Video counts come in over 360 for DVDs, which equates to over 2,400 video scenes. You won't get bored here very quickly at all, that's for sure.
Quality is great lately.
Their latest movies all come in full 1080p high definition, which isn't necessarily the norm for DVD sites. Like I said, they have full control over everything here, so they're able to put out great-looking videos while other sites in the category maybe can't.
Two similar bonus sites included.
If you've joined this site, I assume you like standard hardcore porn shot in high quality. They have two other similar studios here pumping out content, and you get access to it all. Those two sites are ZTOD and Black Ice Pass, so hopefully you can find even more fun material there.
Other Good Stuff:
The download options are pretty decent here overall with quite a few choices. Photos come with zip files, which is pretty standard. Videos, however, come in three MP4, an AVI/XviD, WMV, and an MP4. There are several streaming options as well.
They do have a decent search setup where you can include several different categories, and remove certain other categories all at the same time. With a site this large, you need all the help you can get.
They have all the extras you'd look for on a site like this including great scene info, links to the models and categories found, etc.
The Cons
Older quality isn't as good.
This one is pretty expected, but their older scenes all fall back to more regular DVD-quality material. They don't look nearly as good as the newer scenes do, but hopefully it's not a deal breaker. All of the new content at this point is coming out in HD, so things are looking good.
Minor Negatives:
Their photos are quite small all around, even for the newer ones. They come in at 900x600 max, which isn't large enough for today's computers.
The photos haven't been updated in around a year unfortunately. I don't think it's a huge deal on a DVD site like this, since they focus on videos, but it deserves mentioning.
Bottom Line
A pretty nice collection overall if you're looking for simple porn, high quality, and good numbers.
There's not a whole lot wrong here at Third Degree Movies in the end. Granted, it's DVD content, so it may feel a little more generic than some niche-specific sites we see out there, but remember this is all their own material. They have full control over the models, scenes, and quality, and things look good here. The only thing I might want to see changed is for them to separate out this site from the others in the network a little more, as navigation was a little confusing at times, but I think most people won't mind seeing the entire network at once. They can't do anything about the older quality at this point, so no worries there. Check out the tour, and you'll get a great idea of what's inside.
