Intro

This is the official site of Silvia Saint which is interesting since official pornstar sites are always kind of unique in their own way. Generally these sites should present a content collection along with some additional features like interaction or behind-the-scenes that give fans something more than just pictures and videos. Silvia does do that as this site has pretty good mix of stuff available to members. Interestingly the site is also part of the Fame Digital network which features sites from other popular stars like Tera Patrick and Peter North plus studio collections and niche sites.

The Pros

Balanced Amount of Pics & Vids, Glamour & Hardcore Content.

The main component of the content is the picture and video section and the highlight there is the Exclusive Silvia videos which has shoots just for this site with solo and girl/girl action. There are also additional hardcore scenes from Silvia's movies and a picture gallery section. The videos tend to be more hardcore and the galleries are more of the glamour, solo, and girl/girl variety.

Full-Video Downloads & Flash Streaming, High Quality Pictures.

The video options are consistent thrououth the collection. These include full-movie downloads of WMV format plus in-browser Flash streaming. The WMV downloads are in two quality levels. The pictures are large, sharp, and professional glamour style images. The quality was actually better than I was expecting.

Fan Club Section, Lengthy Journal Posts w/ Pics & a Video Intervie

It's always important to see what additional content official sites have beyond just pics and vids. Silvia has a journal with lengthy entries including appearance, on-set, and behind-the-scenes style shoots. Lots of pics are usually posted and she average 2-3 journal entries per month with archives available. The fan club also has a video interview and guestbook which is pretty active.

The Cons

Small 'Exclusive Silvia' Videos Section that Updates Sporadically.

As it should be the Exclusive Silvia videos section is highlighted at the top of the niche category list in the member's area. It's a bummer that there are less than two dozen videos in there with content dates going back three years. Basically update have slowed to a snail%u2019s pace with the occasional addition. The update gaps in this section are huge which is disappointing.

Pictures Open in a Pop-Up Window, No Options or Zip Files.

I mentioned in my 'Pro' bullet points that I was pleasantly surprised with the picture quality. What I don't like are that there are no picture options or zip files since I'm sure fans would like to save these galleries to their computer. Also, the pics open in a pop-up window which I found to be a bit unnecessary and annoying.

Some Navigation Tools Lead to Other Pornstar Content.

This stems from the fact that the site design is so integrated with the network as a whole. Particularly the niche category browsing tools bring up videos that feature other pornstars, not just Silvia Saint. It can be tricky to initially figure out how to best access just Silvia's movies and avoid the other network material.

Minor Negatives:

The downloadable movie files do not have any file size or spec information posted.
Little shoot info or source details are provided on the galleries and videos.
Older videos are more standard quality at around 2000k 720x528.
Download speed is average and I was unable to use my download manager on IE (test with IDM). IDM should work okay thru Firefox.
There are some member's area upsell ads and join page cross-sells.

Bottom Line

Silvia's has a well balanced collection of picture, video, & interaction content plus an included network.

Silvia's site is one that could do okay on its own as a standalone site. She hits on all the important items by having a blend of pictures, videos, and some interaction. The one positive I'd like to highlight are the lengthy journal entries that include lots of on-set style pictures. On the negative side the small exclusive videos section is disappointing since it updates so rarely. All told this is a quality official site plus you'll want to look at the larger network since other pornstar official sites are part of the equation as well.
