Intro

Raw Rods is up for review today, and this is a hardcore gay site featuring black men with large cocks hooking up. They don't get too much more specific than that, but their content is already pretty niched out anyway. I don't see that the site is part of any networks, though the company does produce other similar sites, so they know what they're doing. $25 a month gets you in the door, which I guess is about right for this type of material.

The Pros

Pretty unique gay black scenes.

Although you see a lot of black sites, and a lot of gay sites, you don't see the two niches combined too often. It makes for some fun content with big cocks, and some big attitudes as well.

Videos look pretty nice overall.

All of the videos here are offered in high definition. The specs are decent, and the videos don't show any signs of over-compression or anything. It definitely helps them stand out a bit from the crowd.

Other Good Stuff:

From what I can tell, all of the content seems to be exclusive here, which is what I would have guessed anyway with the niche content.

The Cons

Needs some growth still.

At around 75 scenes, it's not a tiny site, but it's really not that large of a site either. Updates don't appear to be coming, but it's tough to tell, so you may be stuck with what they currently offer.

There are no dates for any of the content scenes here, and no update log either. We do our own counts, of course, and haven't noticed any growth in a while. I'm afraid that doesn't point to good news for any actual updates here.

Site is pretty plain.

Both the design and navigation are pretty plain here overall. The navigation isn't a huge deal, as the site isn't that large, but I'd always prefer more options over fewer options. The look and feel of the site is a bit simple for me as well, though again, it doesn't detract a ton from the usability or anything.

Minor Negatives:

While they have videos, there are no photo galleries here at all, which may disappoint some.
They don't allow download managers here, and the download speeds suffered a bit because of it. I got less than 1/4 of my usual max speed for this site.

Bottom Line

A small collection of good scenes, but the lack of growth really hurts.

Raw Rods provides some good-looking, fun scenes to check out. The combination of niches (gay and black) makes for some good content. From there, all of the videos are offered in high definition, which makes things that much better. Where the site falters is in size, updates, and options/features. With around 75 scenes currently, and no apparent growth, there just isn't enough to see here to keep you around for very long. The site itself is quite plain as well, with very few options for getting around or finding content. I think Raw Rods is worth a look if you really like the niche here, but you'll have to decide how long to stick around with the site as it is in its current state.
