Online Superheroes is up for review today, and it's a unique toon site that offers a nice little twist. Many of the scenes here feature comic superheroes getting it on together (think Superman, Batman, and all their lady friends). Shoot, pretty much everyone fucks everyone once you're inside, which makes for some interesting scenes. They also mix in some generic drawings and art, but mostly stick with the hardcore theme. There are no videos unfortunately, but I guess that makes sense. You'll pay quite a bit to join here at $35 a month, but if the content is unique enough for you, it may be worth it.
The Pros
Pretty unique content here.
The whole comic thing has been around for a while, but usually you just see random drawings of girls from different people. The theme here is interesting, and I've only seen something similar a handful of times in the past (and they usually had princesses instead of superheroes). If you've ever wanted to see Superman fucking Batgirl, or Joker fucking Batwoman and Wonder Woman (go figure), this is the place. They have quite a list of characters to check out, and not all of them are superheroes (Pinocchio!), but the majority are.
Updates come regularly.
A new "chapter" is put up about twice a week it looks like, and each chapter is part of a story that contains six comic pages or so on average. That keeps the content count growing nicely, and I hope it continues going forward.
Other Good Stuff:
The image sizes aren't huge, but the quality of the drawings seems good to me. They're clear and colorful, with no real compression artifacts or anything.
The Cons
No videos.
Some of the bigger toon sites out there have videos, but that's not the case here unfortunately. There are no videos, no animated GIFs, nothing. You get all the photo and comic goodness, but that's the only content you'll get here.
Navigation could be better.
My main complaint are the big lists of content that you have to go through. With a decent-sized site, it's a little hard to get to the older stuff, oro to make sure you've seen everything. Plus, everything is added in separate updates called chapters. While they have small text links to older chapters, I think they should link them together better. Have each full comic get its own page (instead of just overlaying them on the main galleries page), so that you can view that page and see them all together in one place. I'd also like them to link all the chapters together at the end so you can view all the images at one time, without searching for the other parts.
The character list is nice to have, but it's rather hidden (I missed it for a while). Somehow making this simpler and more prominent would help as well.
Minor Negatives:
Of course, the drawings here are basically just fan art, and aren't drawn by the real deal. Some scenes are worse than others, but the people never look exactly right here. I don't mind some small changes, but when they're barely recognizable except for the big logo on their shirt, it's a bit weird for me.
At $35 a month, it's definitely on the expensive side. Granted, they have some pretty unique content, but expect to pay for it.
Bottom Line
A pretty unique site in the end with only minor issues to contend with.
The content here really saves the day, even without any videos to check out. The toon niche is pretty popular, so there are quite a few sites to check out already. Online Superheroes does well to have a little niche focus available with the whole superhero thing to keep it interesting. It's all static/photo content, but they update regularly, and with more than a single picture. The navigation could be streamlined a bit, but that was the most major concern I had. Check out the tour for their previews, and definitely join up if you like the idea of what they offer here.
