(49.99 credits)Neon Cams has been online for about a year and a half at this point, and in that time has built up a model database of close to 8,000 models hot & possibly ready for live camera action. That's 13x more than the last time we were here for a visit just over a year ago. Unfortunately the number of models online live at any one time still falls below the average mark I'd say, with just 95 available during my visit. Membership and viewing works on a credit based system where registration is free and credit packages range from $29.99 to $49.99 and up to $69.99. Each model sets their own "Private" show price ranging from $1.49 to $2.99 per minute.
Entertaining live cam content.
Live cam shows make for some of the most entertaining content online. Because you're actually interacting with someone of your choosing who will perform out just about any desire, the stakes are high and the rewards can be endless.
Clean site design. Many browse/user features.
Beyond the basic categories, you can also filter by age range and other extras like: nipples, pissing, squirting, spanking and more. Models are all tagged and cross-linked for even more ways to browse.
The Member's Center is where you can find all your account information, site News, history and favorites.
Registration is free. Browsing and chatting with a small % of models may also be free.
Users have the option to transmit their own cam image to the model for live 2-way chat.
Some models offer "HD Cam". Of course these cams aren't true HD quality, but picture should be better for these.
Small # of models online live at any one time.
During my review the number of models online live went from 95 to 48. It's slim pickin's here at Neon Cams depending on when you look. Saturday afternoon appears to be a bit busier with about 170 models online live. Still not a whole lot compared to some other live cam sites we've seen.
Expensive.
Private shows run between $1.49 and $2.99, so those credits go quick! Even more annoying was that many models don't really offer "free" group chat, it seems to be private chat only unless you're looking specifically in the Free section.
Small number of models ready to chat free.
Out of 90 models online live during my first visit, only 3 were available for free chat. During my second visit there were 9 models out of 170 available. That doesn't give users a whole lot to look at without using credits.
No live preview of the model before going Private
There is no way to preview models who only offer member chat. You must go into Private to view them on cam, thus using up some of your credits.
Quality can range depending on a number of factors including lighting, quality of the models equipment & surroundings, etc.
There are a handful of videos listed on a separate section on the site. Viewing these videos will cost you .99 credits per minute. A bit of a waste if you ask me.
No indicator whether a model is in Private Chat. It would be nice to know which girls were available to preview/chat with, and who you might be joining into a "group show" with.
I love the layout/design, now if they could just work on getting more live models.
Number of live models aside, NeonCams.com seems to have a steady start to their live cams site. Close to 8,000 models isn't too shabby, but unfortunately far less than that are actually around live at any one time. Of course it's easy to get carried away here and spend all your rent money, so just beware of that and have a good time.
