Intro

Men DVD Peak is a DVD movie site with hardcore gay content. DVD Peak is the straight version so this company has these two companion sites that cover both genres. Content is entirely hardcore DVD movies from various studios so it's not exclusive content as is standard for this type of site. The guest tour side of things is very much an open-book layout where visitors can browse the collection exactly as members see it. If you spend a few minutes there you can find out if they have the title, performers, studios, or niches you're interested in.

The Pros

Hundreds of Gay Hardcore DVD Movies, Popular Niches.

Men DVD Peak has the type of content you'd expect from a movies site. They have dozens of different studios represented and hardcore action in all sorts of different popular niches. Basically everything from hardcore guy/guy to groupsex to solo masturbation is in the mix along with cumshots, fetishes, twinks, muscles, interracial, etc. The total number of movies is over eight hundred which makes for several thousand individual scenes.

WMV Video Format, Full-Scene & Clip Segments.

While there isn't anything fancy about the movie set-up they do have WMV format across the board and full-scene files along with clip segments. If a site is going to just have the one format then this is probably the one that'll satisfy most users.

Other Good Stuff:

Navigation options include browsing by niche category, pornstar, or studio plus there is a keyword search. Design is straightforward and uncluttered without any ads or extras.
A content count ticker at the top of the site highlights the total number of available DVDs, scenes, and hours of footage.

The Cons

Only One Video Format, Set-up & Quality Aren't Great.

The quality of the videos is only okay at 2400k 800x600 which is pretty run-of-the-mill. No additional format options are offered beyond the WMV. The set-up is a bit annoying in that they just have "stream" links on the files which open in a standalone media player then you need to save the file from there from the File, Save As menu. Not really a layout that's conducive to downloads.

No Updates in a Long Time, Collection is Stagnant.

There are not any dates anywhere on the content and our TBP content fact managers have noted that things haven't changed at all here in over a couple of years. It seems the company has stopped paying attention to the site and things will just remain as-is from here on out.

Navigation is Underdeveloped, Star Index is Text-Only.

They have the basics covered with niche, studio, and star browsing but there aren't any additional options beyond that. The pornstar index is a drop-down text only list and there's no full directory with preview pics. They also don't have any file size information on the movies and many times the Cast performer info will be blank on movies.

Minor Negatives:

The content is non-exclusive material.
The trial is limited access, monthly rate is expensive, and there are pre-checked cross-sells on the join page.

Bottom Line

A simple/straightforward gay DVD site with hundreds of total movies.

Men DVD Peak is a source of gay DVDs that's very meat-and-potatoes as it just covers the basics. They do have lots of total content and WMV videos but there isn't much going on beyond that. The lack of updates and activity stands out too as they aren%u2019t' adding new content anymore.
