Mac and Bumble is glamour site filled with beautiful models. Founded in 1999 by Nicole Watts, the site was created after noting an absence of adult websites that flattered women. In an interview she tells readers "Our concept was to make a website that featured all of the most sought after published models in one place with only what we consider to be tasteful photos." And she has done a spectacular job! Oh, and in response to how their unusual site name came about, we are told that Nicole's fiance used the term "mac and bumble" in reference to all things high maintenance, a very appropriate description of these glamorous women.
The Pros
All beautiful, exclusive content.
Everything on Mac and Bumble is completely original and won't be found anywhere else. You may recognize many of the models, like Aria Giovanni, Veronika Zemanova, Sydney Moon, and Tera Patrick, but you've never seen these scenes before. M&B's talented photographers capture these women, and many new faces, in fresh new content.
Very large site!
M&B has been around for 10 years now and in that time they've put together a really good-sized collection. Current counts put them at 387 models in roughly 330,000 pictures and 1,200 videos. Plus there are all the special feature pictorials and backstage sets. There's enough to keep members busy for a long, long time.
Good-quality content.
This is a very professional collection with some really nice-looking scenes. They write that "It typically costs us between $75,000 and $125,000 per full production photo shoot" so you can bet that these are top notch models and every detail in the scene is attended to. The shooting is done by a skilled photographer so you don't have to worry about lighting issues and such.

The Cons
Quality not keeping competitive.
It pains me to say this because Mac and Bumble has been a favorite of mine since I first visited it years ago. However, the quality here is not what it used to be. Or rather, it IS what it used to be and that's not good enough anymore. Pictures that are 1052x750 just aren't big enough in this genre. I'd expect at least twice that size. The videos max out at 2500k and 720x404 in size. That's not bad, but sites in this genre are making the move to high definition. Basically, M&B still offers very good quality material, but it used to be at the forefront of quality in this genre and its not anymore.
Needs more browse tools.
Most of the tools are for browsing the models, not the galleries or videos. I actually didn't find a good way to browse just the galleries. The videos are at least in their own section but then they're just organized by model name. As far as browsing the models goes, some of the tools like Top 20 and alphabetical are fine, but the categories are basically useless. There aren't enough tools for a site of this size.
Minor Negatives:
The Bumble News section is very neglected. It looks like a joke was added last February, but otherwise I didn't see anything new dated after 2004. It's a shame, this used to be a really interesting section of the site.
I question whether these are new updates or rotated scenes. The site seems not to have been touched in years so I'm really wondering if these are just sets being rotated on and off by a script. I have no proof, just a hunch.
Not enough viewing options. Videos are offered in two formats with no quality options. Photos are in one image size (I do give them credit for zips and a slideshow, though!)
Membership ends the day it is canceled. If you paid for 30 days but cancel on day 20, you lose access those last 10 days.
Bottom Line
A good glamour site, but a ghost of what it used to be.
I am so disappointed to have to knock Mac and Bumble so far down the scoring ladder but I have no choice. The site looks completely neglected. The personality is not what it once was and content quality is not keeping up with today's standards. It's still a good site, and it was one of the best sites when we first looked at it in 2003. It's 2009 now but no one seems to have let M&B know that. Or maybe they do know but they're just off with their beautiful models in Ibiza and don't care what the year is. Anyway, still a good join for glamour fans but not even close to how good it once was.
