Older scenes do have a drop in quality with many HD topping out with the 1280x720 and then older content being standard levels only.

Some Scenes are Broken into Multiple Parts.

Most shoots are in one part but occasionally they add some of the newer episodes in parts (usually 2 or 3) and they usually aren't in consecutive update additions. Back in the archives you can also run into some of the oldest shoots where only video segment parts are available.
