Intro

Hot Barebacking is from SXVideo.com and they have a small collection of about a half dozen sites and membership here includes access to all of them. This review will look at what Hot Barebacking has to offer and it actually does just fine on its own. With "barebacking" in the title there is clearly an emphasis on hardcore action and indeed the content here revolves around hardcore one-on-one and groupsex videos. The guest tour is pretty informative as visitors can watch movie previews and get a good feel for the models and shoots that are included.

The Pros

Guy/Guy & Gangbang Hardcore Videos, Nice Mix of Models.

The centerpiece of the content are the more than two hundred video scenes which are divided into sections titled "Raw Videos" and "Gangbang Videos". Those are self-explanatory with guy/guy in the Raw section and groupsex in the Gangbang section. There is a decent amount of groupsex but the Raw section is about three or four times larger. I also noticed a good mix of white, black, and asian models which helps add to the variety.

Good Amount of Raw Solo Guy Photo Galleries.

Complimenting the hardcore videos are photo galleries with a lot of solo guy stripping/posing. These are found through the "Raw Studs" section which is an index of all the guys with links to all their photo and video shoots.

The navigation is fairly straightforward with the "Raw Studs" model index that's sortable by name, chronologically, or by rating/views. It's also helpful that they categorize the videos into distinct Raw and Gangbang sections.

Other Good Stuff:

Videos are date-stamped with update information showing when they were added to the site.
Flahs and WMV streaming availble in multiple quality levels. Fairly quick loading/buffering.
Additional company gay niche sites are included with membership.

The Cons

Average & Varying Video/Picture Quality.

Content quality isn't strength for Hot Barebacking as the picture size is average and varies from gallery to gallery. The specs on the newer videos is only average and the older shoots are even lower quality. The emphasis here is on entertainment value and it seems a trade-off is made in content quality/options.

Downloadable WMV Files are DRM Protected.

The two options on the videos include in-browser Flash/WMV streaming and full-scene WMV downloads. These would be fine except for the fact that the downloads are DRM protected. DRM is one of those things that is found rarely on paysites and really stands out as a negative when it is used. Surfers who like to download and save videos to their computers will definitely want to take note of this.

Update Pace Varies, Slow Additions to Gangbang Vids Section.

The videos in both the Raw and Gangbang sections are date-stamped with update details showing when they were added to the site. Based on this information they seem to update weekly but there are some noticeable gaps. The biggest is in the Gangbang section which seems to get just one new video addition each month on average.

Minor Negatives:

Update information on the shoots isn't shown when you browse using the 'Raw Studs' model index.
The pictures are in one size and there aren't zip file downloads available.

Bottom Line

Good hardcore & groupsex gay videos althought the video quality/DRM are negatives.

Hot Barebacking gets high marks for having a well balanced collection that features one-on-one and groupsex videos along with solo guy photo galleries. They also feature a nice mix of white and ethnic guys. Where the site struggles is when it comes to content quality and downloading. The quality and specs on the pics/vids is lower than I expected and the DRM videos stand out as a negative. Overall I like what they're offering in terms of content but don't like the viewing choices.
