Intro

Ron Harris is an erotic photographer who has been photographing beautiful women for over 40 years. His style is softcore and sexy, with great attention paid to quality. We reviewed his main site Ron Harris Studio a while ago and I went into more detail on his impressive resume there. That site scored well and left this site, Ron Harris Archives, with a lot to live up to. The Archives are more softcore than the Studio, but both feature the same great photography and same beautiful models. The sites work well with each other, and members can upgrade their membership to get access to both sites at a discounted rate. Considering how impressed I was with his first site, I was looking forward to reviewing this one.

The Pros

All exclusive content.

This is a sexy collection of Harris' content that can't be found anywhere else. The majority of the themes here are very softcore. The models pose in gorgeous locations in simple, sexy lingerie and outfits. Most of the women look more like supermodels than pornstars. They're classy but not afraid to be sexy. There is full nudity, spread shots, and even girl-girl galleries, although the action never goes beyond kissing. The galleries are very erotic, but fans should be aware of their softcore nature.

High quality photos.

These pictures are big! They go up to 3000x2000 in size and they're very professional. There's a reason that Harris has won the awards and accolades that he has and this is it. The models are gorgeous, the scenes are always creative and interesting, and everything just looks top-notch. It's really a beautiful collection.

Photos are offered in three image sizes and the largest size can also be downloaded in a zip file.
Members can join Harris' other site, Ron Harris Studio, at a discounted rate.

The Cons

Small collection.

The site currently offers around 14,000 pictures and 5 videos. That's not tiny, but it definitely won't take long to see everything. There's no bonus content or extras, so nothing else to really keep you busy either.

No longer updating.

None of the content here is really dated in a way that makes sense, so I looked back at my old review from 2005 to see how much they've grown. Lo and behold, they had 14,000 photos and 5 videos way back then. It doesn't look like anything new has been added in a long, long time.

No browse tools.

The content is organized into 19 months and that's it. There's no model index, no separate video section, no categories, nothing. You're left to randomly click through the months until you find what you're looking for.

Minor Negatives:

Plain design. The design of the site is very basic and lacks personality. It is clean, at least.
Older photos are smaller. The older sets only go up to 2000x1333 in size. That's not too bad, but it is worth noting that not all of the sets are 3000px.
Membership is too expensive. $35 a month for a site that isn't updating? No thank you.

Bottom Line

Not enough here and nothing going on to justify the price.

I can't say I was thrilled with Harris Archives. The site basically hasn't been touched in over 3 years. The galleries look great, of course, but the rest of the site really comes up short for me. If you're a big fan of his, maybe it's worth a shot, but at this price, I can't really get behind it.
