Intro

Gay Twink Dating is up for review today, and this is a pretty standard gay dating site overall. It's actually a very simple dating site overall. You plug in the specs of the main of your dreams and let them show you what they have to offer. To get involved at any level, you'll want to purchase the $30 per month membership I'd say, though that's a little steep for such a small and simple dating site in my opinion.

The Pros

Search can get pretty specific.

I was about to write about how the search was way too simple, until I saw the advanced search options, that is. Once you open that thing up, there's a whole new world to check out. Find an interracial gay partner who wants kids, for instance, or who doesn't want kids, for that matter. There are a ton of things to search by, as long as the people in your area have filled out their profiles completely (which wasn't the case in my area, unfortunately).

Other Good Stuff:

Ummm, it's a gay dating site, so I guess that sets it apart from the crowd a bit from the get go. However, they do have more specific dating sites under their belt if you poke around.

The Cons

So many small/empty profiles.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'd find a love match here were I actually looking. I plugged in the info I was looking for, and so many of the profiles don't have photos, and most have very little info as well. I couldn't imagine wanting to meet anybody knowing so little about them.

Not much in the way of extras.

This is a list of guys who want to meet, hopefully with some profile info, plain and simple. There's nothing more to this site than that. A lot of dating sites will try to build a community with chat boards, events, cam shows, etc. But there's none of that here.

Minor Negatives:

Honestly, $30 a month seems a bit expensive for what you get here. I can't imagine I'd stick around long unless things really improved.

Bottom Line

Nothing too exciting here unfortunately; there has to be other better options out there.

Gay Twink Dating just doesn't offer enough in terms of features, or even just eligible members, to get real excited about. The $30 price tag doesn't help, since I don't feel you get enough for your money. I'd look for more robust profiles, and some kind of enticement to get people to fill them out so the site is actually useful. Add in some community features to get people active, and maybe they'd have something.
