Intro

Every once in a while as a reviewer you get to look at a site that's pretty unique and Dr. Susan Block.tv would be one of those. She has a live streaming show every Saturday night at 10:30PST that generally goes for about 90 minutes or so. Besides Dr. Susan the host the show features all sorts of pornstar chicks in a mix of action that covers quite a broad spectrum of porn. Along with the live show it content includes archived full-show videos along with specific shorter clip segments for viewing and download. There are also show video screen captures which serve as photo content.

The Pros

Exclusive Dr. Susan Block Porn Show with Archives.

Without a doubt the thing that stands out most here is that this specialty content that's quite unique. Dr. Susan has a weekly show with all sorts of hot stars as guests and they incorporate chatting, play, and hardcore action that covers girl/girl, guy/girl, and fetishes. I like that they have the live weekly show and then the videos section here incorporates both the full show archives which are about 90 minute long with additional clip excerpt of about 3-10 minutes long with some of the hotter action.

Clip Segments Have Nice Download Options Including HD MP4.

The best viewing options are offered on the clip segments and these include HD quality MP4 files with specs at 5000k 1280x720. A standard quality WMV is available on these clips too. For all clip and full-scene files they have Flash streaming, FLV downloads and portable M4V.

Other Good Stuff:

Lots of show photo galleries are available with video caps up to 2000x1333 in size and large/small picture options.
All content items are date-stamped with update information. This includes the full-shows, clip segments, and galleries. Updates are made every few days pretty consistently.

The Cons

Inconsistent Video Options, No MP4 or WMV on Most Full Shows.

The way they have things set-up is that the clip segments have all the options with MP4/WMV/Flash/M4V. The full-episode movies have more limited choices with in-browser Flash streaming and just FLV and M4V for downloading. I did see the earliest full-show they added did have the full array of formats but they stopped that and the overwhelming majority of full show movies just have the two choices of FLV or M4V so they do steer you towards the streaming rather than downloading on those. The Flash streaming doesn't allow for you to jump ahead as the files load while playing.

Average Sized Site, Could Use Addt'l Interaction Features.

The site is fairly new at the time of this review with content dating back to the latter part of 2010. Everything here revolves around the show content and I think they could add value to the collection by having some blog or journal or something else from Dr. Susan during the week since the show is just once per week. There is member feedback/comments tool but I don't see any activity on that either.

Minor Negatives:

Most of the videos are actually clip segments from the shows which are around 3-10 minutes in length. The full-show movies are in the minority.
Older galleries used included zip download options however the newer sets do not have those available.

The other

Billing is done through CCBill which should be familar to most users. The options include a resonable monthly price, trial, and multi-month options.

Bottom Line

Dr. Susan Block has a unique weekly show with video archives however the download options vary.

Our reviews here at TBP are a snapshot in time and at the time of this review Dr. Block's site is still relatively young. It'll be interesting to see how the site progresses in terms of continual shows and growth to the archives. I like that they have full shows and clip excerpts however the fact that they limit download options/formats on the full shows is a definite negative. Since this is a personality driven site I think they need to ramp things up with one or two additional features from Susan herself like a blog, schedule, resume, or some other interaction feature. The show itself is interesting but more depth to the content couldn't hurt.
