Intro

Dainews describes itself as the "celebrity and fashion model picture database" which is a pretty good summary of what they're all about. Consistency is a hallmark of this site as they have been around for many, many years and have kept the same infrastructure during that time. Guests can get a full look at what they have to offer by clicking on the "Search the Dainews Database" link on the tour. That'll allow you to preview thumbnail images for all the different celebs so spending a few minute there will let you know if they have the ladies and content you're looking for.

The Pros

Massive Amount of Celebrities, Tons of Pictures Available.

The sheer quantity of content at Dainews is its biggest asset. Thousands and thousands of celebrities are in the database and it's one of the biggest celebrity archive I'm aware of. To go along with this the total number of pictures is enormous at over half-a-million.

Some Pictures are Large and/or High-Res Quality.

Celebrity content is notoriously low quality so I expect that going in. In exploring the picture here I ran across a good chunk that are actually big images and even high-resolution. This is nice to see from a site like this and something that was a pleasant surprise.

Easy to Use Model Index Browse/Search Tool.

Navigation is important considering how much stuff they have in their library. They have a straightforward model index that can be browsed or searched by first name or last name. Finding different celebrities is pretty easy. They break down each celeb into nude and non-nude image sections or you can view them all. There is also a status/viewer/config page which allows members to customize some of the viewing options.

Very Inexpensive Price, All Billing is Non-Recurring.

Very rarely does a site's price structure warrant listing as a main pro bullet point. Dainews is an exception to that rule as they have a $9.95/mo price plus 3 and 7 day trials for lesser amounts. All the billing including the trials is non-recurring which many surfers should like. There is even a "Check Your Time" link in the site footer that shows members how much access time they have left before their account expires.

Other Good Stuff:

Daily updates with a full log. Plus each pic is date-stamped with update info.
Picture size and spec info posted for each image.
A content count ticker highlights the total number of available celebrities, nude/non-nude pics, and pics added per month.

The Cons

Lots of Non-Nude Content, Real Mixed Bag of Stuff.

Dainews does include a high percent of non-nude content and most of the celebrities have a lot more non-nude stuff compared to the nude or see thru pictures. Overall the content is a mish-mash of material including screen caps from movies/tv, magazine photos, public appearances, etc. What is available for different celebs really does vary from model to model.

Picture Quality/Size Varies, Lots of Screen Cap Style Images.

This is simply the nature of sites like this. While Dainews does have some high quality pictures there are a lot of images that are average quality or even small or grainy. Many pics are collage type video captures from movies or tv shows. Consistency in content quality just isn't something you're going to get very often in the celeb niche.

No Videos & Lots of these Pics can be Found Elsewhere.

Dainews is totally a picture site so there isn't any video content available. They've been a picture-only site for a long time so going to stay like this into the future. Also, the pictures found in this collection include a large percentage of stuff that can be found at other celebrity sites.

Minor Negatives:

While the design is functional its overall look and appearance is rough-around-the-edges.
No source information for the content/images.

Bottom Line

Dainews is one of the best sources of celeb pics however they have no video content.

The defining characteristics working in Dainnews favor include the huge amount of celebs/pictures, good navigation tools, and high-quality pictures. The main drawbacks are the high percentage of non-nude content and the lack of videos. Overall this is an excellent source of content for surfers looking for celebrity pictures especially since you can't argue with the price.
