Intro

Color Climax is home to this Denmark based production company that has the tagline "The First, the Biggest, the most Pornographic. 40 Years of legendary Productions." These guys were around during the magazine days of porn and the site's collection includes a mix of photo galleries sand videos from the 2000's back thru the 1970's. Vintage, European, and Magazine/Studio are certainly the big themes that describe Color Climax.

The Pros

Denmark Magazine Based Collection, Long Running Site.

Color Climax is European porn but more specifically they were/are based in Denmark. The magazines were around since the 1970's so they have a long track record there. This online presences has been around for well over a decade, in fact they're getting close to approaching a couple decades for this website. With the magazine background it makes sense that the collection is heavier on photo galleries than videos with the pic sets outnumbering the videos by around a 4:1 ratio. There are still hundreds of video scenes but the photo galleries do make up the largest part of the member's area.

Fun Collection of Vintage/Classic Euro Porn, Nice Variety.

Color Climax's content is really fun as it grounded in Denmark/Euro porn and also has a lot of vintage flavor with shoots from decades past. They do have more recent content including videos so it's a wide ranging archive. The sex style and niches included also are numerous with everything from BJs and banging to groupsex and anal and then fetishes, pissing, etc.

Higher Quality Newer Content, Full-Video Downloads/Streaming.

There are some HD videos in the mix on the newer additions with full-scene MP4 files at 1280x720 3500k. The in-browser streaming on these is also high quality. The do have consistent options on the videos with both the MP4/QT full-scene files and in-browser Flash for all the scenes whether they're new or older. Photos are very much studio/magazine style and they top out around 1500x1000. There are zip files with some sort of VIP limitation noted on those and it's not quite clear what that is.

Other Good Stuff:

A partial archive of 12 magazine publication is available. They seem to have most of the issues with one photo set from each.
Photo gallereis are broken down by studio/publication and the further by decade (2000s, 90s, 80s, 70s).

The Cons

Sparse Info About Updates, Model Index is Text Only.

The organization can be a bit confusing as they have content organized by studio and then the video theater broken down by New, Bestsellers, and Classics and there isn't a lot of source/background info on the movies. The site is still active however they don't provide users with a log of updates or specific date-added information on the content. The model index is text without photo thumbnail images and the index seems to be just for photo content not the videos.

Varying Picture/Video Quality, One Video Download Option.

With this content spanning such a wide number of decades and style there is variation between the quality of photos and videos throughout the collection. They do stick to just one video format and quality level so aside from a separate mobile file there aren't an array of choices to pick from. Older photos can be more like around 750x550 in size.

Magazine Archive is Incomplete, Magazine Upsells.

One of the assets this company can offer is a collection of their magazine photo spreads. What they do on the site however is have one or two sets from many but not all of the issues and then offer users to purchase the magazine from their store. A more complete archive would have been a fantastic content item on this site.

Minor Negatives:

There is some sort of VIP membership required for get zips files, downloads on the Bestseller videos, and mobile files. The tour says "VIP Active After 24 Hours" but it's not totally clear if that's for all members or what. I wish the details were spelled out more on that.
When opening a video page the in-browser streaming always begins playing. This can be a bit annoying if you're just interested in the downloads.

The other

There is a section dedicated to Mobile content and then the site also has a store to buy magazines and movies.

Bottom Line

Fun & interesting content from this Danish magazine studio with vintage & recent photos & videos.

Color Climax is one of those sites that has its own style and even with so many other porn sites out there this one still is quite unique. Their database of vintage and Danish-specific photos & videos is quite sizable. There are areas where the site could be better like with the magazine archive section and the layout/design but I get a kick out of this content and it is one of those sites that I enjoy visiting every so often.
