Intro

Color Climax is an adult studio based out of Denmark that has been producing hot porn for more than 40 years. They say they're the first, the biggest, and the most pornographic and I have to say they make a good point! It all started in 1967 with their magazine by the same name (this despite porn being illegal in Denmark back then). They've brought the world watersports and trannies, and even dabbled in fetishes like bestiality and child pornography. Thankfully, they've backed off of the last two and they now stick to adult humans having sex. Their transition online has been a smooth one, and they've spent the last 15 years wowing fans online.

The Pros

Wild exclusive collection.

As you might have gathered already, Color Climax is a studio that is willing to push boundaries of all type, legal, sexual, even moral. Their collection offers a little something for anyone who can appreciate the kinky, from straight sex to lesbian scenes to fisting to pee drinking to light bdsm. These are all original scenes featuring hot Danish pornstars at their finest.

Very large site.

Color Climax has a collection that dates back decades and much of it is available to fans on their website. There are currently 1,350 galleries and 930 videos on the site. On top of that, updates appear to be coming frequently so this large site is only getting bigger.

High quality content.

Though the actual quality specs vary somewhat, Color Climax has always produced professional quality content. These scenes look like they were filmed by skilled photographers and videographers. I was, however, very impressed to find some actual high definition scenes in the collection! They play at over 2000k and are 1280 x 720. I'm thrilled to see that Color Climax is keeping up with the times.

Other Good Stuff:

Photos can be downloaded in zip files and viewed in a slideshow.
With categories, a basic model index, and a studio breakdown, getting around the large site is easy enough.
Videos can be streamed and downloaded in their entirety in Quicktime.
The design is nice and sharp. The colors and the graphics look good for an all-around attractive site.

The Cons

Not enough video viewing options.

The movies are only offered in Quicktime. You can stream and download them, but that's all you get for options. There are no other formats or quality settings available. It's not often you see a site limit itself to Quicktime.

Content quality varies.

This may come as a surprise, but movies and photos produced 30 years ago, don't look as sharp as those produced more recently! Shocking, I know. At any rate, as you go back into Color Climax's archives, you'll find scenes that are much grainier and photos that have been scanned in. You'll also find that styles have changed a lot, too. It's a mixed quality collection, with a lot of great-looking scenes and plenty of dated material, as well.

Minor Negatives:

The high definition videos aren't labeled. I was shocked when I downloaded a movie and it played in HD! They should do themselves a favor and let members know which are HD.
There's no update log and none of the scenes are dated. The site is growing, so updates are coming, but it's hard to say at what pace exactly.
The model index is only a text list of names. There are no headshot thumbnails so it's not really helpful in just browsing the girls.

Bottom Line

A large, high quality site full of wild European hardcore.

Color Climax has been entertaining fans in print and film for 40 years now and they've made the move to internet quite well. The site is very large and the quality is very good for the most part. There are a few small changes they could make to makes things more user-friendly, but what they have now is solid. The membership cost of $30 a month is fair, although I would prefer to have a firm update schedule at that cost. If you enjoy European hardcore, Color Climax should definitely be on your "next to join" list.
