Color Climax is up for review today, and this site features the content of the production company by the same name. They're way over in Denmark and have been doing the porn thing for decades. They pushed the envelope early on with some fun fetish material including pissing, fisting, and more, along with more standard hardcore porn scenes. This site has stuff from the 70's through today, so it's quite a collection and mix of material overall. $30 a month gets you in the door which is right about what I was expecting for a site like this.
The Pros
Pretty large collection.
When you've been shoot porn for decades, it's not a huge surprise that your website is pretty large because of it. There's a lot to see here, with over 1,800 photo galleries, and almost 1,300 video scenes. The numbers are still going up today it seems, which is great to see as well.
Quality is decent these days.
They've done well to keep up with the times including high definition videos, and ever-better photo quality as well. Since their content spans such a large time frame, it may be a little more work to make sure you're viewing the newest material, but you can tell when you see it.
Other Good Stuff:
Their content is 100% exclusive from what I can tell. They definitely shoot all of their own material, and I think they keep it all for themselves.
Though there are no dates anywhere, the site does seem to still be growing according to our own content counts we do.
They get into some interesting niche content at times. They offer a pretty wide variety, so you'll find some vanilla porn, but also things like pissing, fisting, trannies, and more.
The Cons
Quality varies, can be bad on older scenes.
As I said, they've been shooting content for a really long time. All that old material has to get digitized and web-ready. The quality just isn't as good as what we see today. Here, the quality on things can vary quite a bit unfortunately, and is often a little below par for what we're used to seeing.
Navigation is a pain.
For some reason, the site just doesn't quite work well for me in terms of getting around. They have a few features here and there to help, but I never really felt comfortable here. There are too many different areas to visit, and it's confusing to know when you want to head where. Their search could be further improved with more options to really help narrow things down, especially with a collection this large.
Minor Negatives:
Though updates do seem to be coming, they aren't dated at all unfortunately, so it's a little tough to tell what's going on.
Video downloads only come in an mp4 format. I'd love to see more options here including another file type at minimum.
The models index is nice to have, but unfortunately it's text-based, so it's not very useful in trying to find models you actually like.
Bottom Line
A pretty large and interesting collection, though the site itself is starting to show a little age.
Color Climax kicks a lot of ass in a lot of ways. They feature a large collection, a wide variety of some pretty interesting niche material, decent quality these days, and more. However, I can't shake the feeling that they could be doing a little more with their site to stay current. Options are pretty limited, say for downloading the content, and while navigation is okay, it doesn't do the collection justice in my opinion. A few little upgrades and tweaks would keep them towards the front of the pack, so hopefully they don't get too comfy with how things are currently. Otherwise, once you get past that, I think there's a lot of interesting material here and it's worth a look for sure.
