Intro

Translated from German into English, BonGum is not a new type of gum; it's a German and European fetish site featuring bondage and rubber fetish fantasies including "intricate ropework" with "tied helpless models strapped down & gagged", as well as "hardcore bondage videos". In case you were wondering, "bondage" together with the German word for "rubber" (gummi) is where they get the name BonGum. Updates take place a couple of times per week, and there are currently more than 428,000 images and 374 videos on the site for a low $22.95 (re-bills at $17.00/month).

The Pros

Lots of Original Fetish Content.

Specializing in bondage and latex wear, the average babes and wild beauties on this site like it a little more on the rough side. As far as fetish sites go, this is probably one of the more tame ones in the sense that other then your average bounds and gags, nylons, stockings & heels, smoking, uniforms, rubber, and latex. There's not a ton of hardcore here other then your random cock torture, candle fuck, doctor play...oh and then there's that one "bodybag" set, so I guess there's generally just a mix of things to be found. Categories include: Exclusive Models (A-Z), Exclusive Topics (rare & special), Imagination Chamber (well-known amateur fetish models in kinky content), Dominas, Bondage & S/M, Latex, PVC & Plastic, etc.

Other Good Stuff:

Newest image sizing and quality is looking nice, and the videos now offer bitrates up to 1400k. Clearly there is still some room for improvement in the quality department, but it's not looking half-bad these days either.
Newest videos can be streamed online or downloaded in WMV format, usually in 2 quality options. There is also a download available for iPod and other mobile devices.

The Cons

Site Design & Navigation Needs Work.

There isn't a whole lot of continuity in the design of the pages for BonGum. There also isn't a ton of consistency in video viewing options, especially the farther you go back into the archives. Browsing the photo galleries is still a bit confusing, the page layout makes it could be better. They've tried to simplify things with an extensive menu, etc. but the page set up all around leaves a lot to be desired.

Quality Ranges And Can Be Poor Especially The Older Content.

Back into the archives, though it ranges, image size is usually no larger then 800x600 and the quality can be anything from very good to average. Newer pics sets are looking nice, but since not everything is exclusive, you'll see a range here too. Same goes for the videos, the oldest of which stream only at 350 and are tiny, tiny.

Minor Negatives:

Not everything here is exclusive and it shows in terms of consistency and varying content themes. However, they've at least taken the time to label the content which is exclusive to keep users informed.
Newest videos can't be downloaded using a DL manager, however, the DL speeds are fast enough not to make it a big issue.

Bottom Line

A bondage & rubber site with an eclectic range of content.

Things have continued to move along here at BonGum since our initial visit in 2004, but it almost feels as though it's been at a snails pace. Content count aside, of course, as I'm sure the mixture of exclusive and non-exclusive updates helps. The biggest problem is that site design and quality still remain an issue on some level. Back in 2007 the videos were topping out at 1100k and in 3 years they've only managed to make it to 1400k? New organization standards have been site, but the pages still scream amateur design. With that said, there is a mish-mash of fetish content to check out and a decent sized amount of it is exclusive. The price isn't half bad either.
