Intro

Black Vixen has a fairly unique style in that it blends the Ebony and British niches and features softcore and hardcore content. They shoot exclusive material and the models are mostly from the UK but also in the mix are some from American and Europe as well. There's also a little bit of straying from the ebony girls with a few latinas and asians so it does have a theme that is very much all its own.

The Pros

Exclusive UK Ebony Theme, Mix of Solo & Hardcore Content.

The site has been around for a number of years and has a pretty well balanced collection in terms of the number of video scenes and photo sets with both getting close to two hundred at the time of this review. It's exclusive stuff and while the British ebony theme is the dominant one they have nice variety with solo, toy play, and hardcore girl/guy action. Throw in a few models that are latinas or asians along with the U.S. and Euro girls and it has quite a bit going on. I particularly like the girls British accents during the video shoots when they speak to the camera.

WMV & Flash Videos, Good Amount in HD Level WMV.

HD is something that is touted on the guest tour and they do deliver a nice amount of the video collection in WMV format with specs at 5000k 1280x720. Some are in full-scene files while others are in clip segments but the HD does look nice. Flash in-browser streaming and portable MP4 files round out the video options.

Other Good Stuff:

An update log is shone on the member's main page which shows that they average around two update per week.
Clear file size and spec inforation is shown on the indivdual movie scenes. They also have the length in minutes/seconds.
The member's area has a listing of the models with preview images broken down by British, American, and European.

The Cons

Some Videos Not in HD Level, Some in Parts/Segments Only.

Options do vary on the videos in that some have full-scene files while others have clips segments only and yet others have both options. Video quality does vary a bit with older videos at 640x480 for the WMV and then there are some other specs along the way as well like 1066x600 among others. Things were a bit hit-and-miss while browsing the collection as to what shoot had what options.

Mixed Bag of Stuff, Models Have Varying Types of Content.

There isn't any breakdown in the collection by type of action so when visiting the individual model pages the girls have quite different types of content from one another. Some only have photo sets while other have videos and yet others have both. Hardcore girl/guy and girl/girl action is definlty in the minority with solo play, toy play, and softcore being more dominant. Some girls had much more intersting portfolios of content than others.

Minor Negatives:

Navigation and design of he member's area is a bit rough. They do have a model index with preview pictures broken down by origin (UK, US, and Euro) however beyond that things are mostly text-based without any categories for types of content, there's no section for HD movies, etc.
Photo galleries don't have zip files for downloading the sets. They also don't date-stamp the galleries/videos so the update log is the only update info.
The Flash streaming player loads while playing so it's not possible to jump ahead right away to the middle or end of a scene.

The other

Some of the models are escorts in the UK and they have telephone numbers for some of them and sometimes even price/rate info.

Bottom Line

An interesing Ebony/British site that also has some other ethnic models & some HD videos.

What Black Vixen definite has working in its favor is the exclusive content and the fact that they specialized in black British models along with some other ethnicities. The HD videos are a nice touch as well. Overall though things are a bit up and down in terms of what each model has available and the video/options vary across the collection as well. Style and originality is more their selling point rather than sheer quantity however the site does continue to grow with steady updates.
