(recurring)Even if you're not Tera Patrick fan #1 I'm sure you're here because you've heard of her. This is the official website of Tera Patrick and users used to be able to expect just a bit more than what you would have found plastered all over the Internet in the form of some exclusive content, a guest book, and interviews as well as bonus site access to the rest of the Fame Digital Network which includes such sites as White Ghetto, Peter North, Silverstone DVD and more. Unfortunately updates have trailed off and nothing new has been added since the end of 2014, there is no longer a guestbook or any other forms of interaction with Tera. So, her site stands as a shell at this moment. But at least a membership here will set you back less than $15 bucks for the first month before recurring at a higher $29.95 with bonus site access included.
Large collection of Tera Patrick films, as well as some more up-close and personal content from her (now outdated) blog & bio. I had the pleasure of meeting Tera Patrick one year at Internext, and her online journal is a very good interpretation of how she is in real life, at least from the short time I spent sitting next to her at dinner. The best way to get up to date snippets of her personal life these days is through Facebook & Twitter rather than her journal.
Multi-site access gives member's a whole other 28 or so sites to check out. The current 136 DVDs (377) scenes here should keep members busy for quite some time. This site is all about the hardcore ass play, anal sex, etc.
The design is attractive and professional. The navigational tools, like series and model browsing, make getting around this large collection quite easy. The sorting feature lets you sort by update, rating, and most viewed. Results can be displayed by scene or DVD. There's also a list of categories to help with browsing.
Newer videos look good! They come straight from the DVDs, so you can expect that sort of quality. At their basic, they play at 2000k and they can be both streamed and downloaded as full-length files. Even better, most newer scenes are even offered with HD specs up to 1080p (7000k) and they look great!
Reduced pricing is offered for users of The Best Porn for a savings of $15 bucks off the first month of membership.
All scenes offer tags and a performers list.
Flash streams available in nice quality, even HD quality.
Although these are original produced scenes, there is a chance you may be able to find them elsewhere online or by ordering the DVD yourself. Some scenes are tagged as exclusive, but it's hard to say for sure.
For a site that promises hardcore and exclusive Tera Patrick content, you'd think these small details and/or scene info would be important enough to add. Especially considering not all the scenes here actually even feature Tera, but other pornstars as well. Most updates are from corresponding DVD titles, but no all are actual scenes featuring Tera.
Yes, this is an official site, but don't expect anything too close for comfort in the way of interaction, live cam shows, personality, etc. While there is some exclusive content, for the most part this feels like a rather generic porn site at times. Tera hasn't updated her journal for some time and lack of updates for the past 3 plus months is not a good sign. More than half of the scenes here are not even featuring Tera, in fact. I should also mention that the number of scenes has somehow gone down since my last review here as well.
Browse features could be more advanced. Rather than simple drop-down menu's, I would like to see actual model/title/category/series lists as well as a search feature that allows you to filter through each (or all) by multiple factors.
The number of scenes seems to have decreased since my last review, which is never a good sign.
HD specs are offered for the MP4 file downloads but not in WMV format.
There are a few ads on members area pages.
Overall there are a few things to complain about here, especially if you really thought you'd be getting some super personal interaction from Tera Patrick by joining. However, for some of her exclusive and more general content, Tera has managed to build one very nice & successful "official" website, and I can only imagine aligning yourself with a quality Network like Fame Digital only adds to the appeal. The quality of the content looks good, the design is fluid and professional, but updates seem to be at their end here. On the other hand, multi-site access makes for a whole lot of viewing material. Add in the largely reduced membership fee for the first month, and you've got yourself a bit better of a deal. The focus here is definitely on DVD's, which was fine by me, but the lack of recent personality from Tera's blog is disappointing.
