Intro

Hustler's Taboo is up for review today, and of course this is the naughty niche branch of the Hustler empire, with a focus on BDSM, leather, ropes, and more. I'm sure they don't quite delve in as deep as some of the hardcore BDSM sites out there, but they do mix sexy girls with some decent bondage, and even a nice bit of hardcore action in there. Of course, you also get full access to their entire network of sites, which is a nice little bonus. The standard $30 monthly rate applies, as it does on all their sites, which I think is about what I'd expect from a magazine site like this.

The Pros

Pretty large site.

We currently peg them at 350 photo galleries, and 284 videos, which is a pretty sizable collection overall. It's even a little better considering that they offer all niche material of the BDSM variety. The numbers may not be growing, but at least you won't power through this stuff in a day or two.

Network access included.

The bonus content and updates are pretty important here with very slow, or non-existent, updates to Taboo itself. You get all of the Hustler sites included, plus some DVD archives, plus of course all the bonuses like magazine archives, etc.

Unique niche material.

They keep their BDSM stuff very sexy here, and I dare to call it more mainstream BDSM than what you'd find on some of the more hardcore sites out there. You get all the basics, plus some nice fucking scenes, which is a great mix in my mind.

The Cons

Updates are quite slow at times, may have stopped.

The last update here was over two months ago, so it's questionable on whether anything new will be added here. The reason why I'm not convinced yet is that they've had some pretty slow periods in the past, so who really knows. At worst, the site is dead, but at best, they're just really slow with updates.

Minor Negatives:

The download speed is pretty slow here, only getting up to 1/5th of our max speed with the best numbers.
The photo collection here is generic Hustler stuff, and has nothing to do with the Taboo content from what I could tell.
Some of their other sites are starting to offer HD, but that's not the case here yet.
The navigation features they have like search and models index are all network-wide instead of for Taboo specifically. I'd love to narrow the list down to all the Taboo lesbian scenes for instance, which I can't do.

Bottom Line

Just as expected - pretty good without going over the top in any areas.

The collection here of 350 photo galleries and 284 videos is pretty good here at Hustler's Taboo. There are a few quirks, as with any magazine site, but they're easy to look past. The content is pretty unique, and you get a ton of bonus content with your membership as well. The quality wasn't bad, but I'd love to see some HD added as you see on their other sites. The biggest bummer was probably the update schedule, which is slow at best, or completely dead at worst. Little navigational tools could be improved as well for clarity's sake. The size and niche content are the main sellers here, and I think they're good enough to warrant a join, even without any current updates. Things could be better, but I think they could be a lot worse here as well.
