Intro

William Higgins is up for review today, and this is a long-running site with a pretty good collection of solo and hardcore gay action. The guys tend to be muscular generally, though I don't see much of a niche more than that really. They have content going back to 2000, so there's a lot to see. They've kinda separated things out into an archive site, and their newer material, which isn't a bad idea since the content is so different over time. $35 gets you in for the first month, but that starts dropping down to $25 after a couple months of sticking around.

The Pros

Large collection overall Updates daily.

Their newer content section alone has around 300 scenes total, which is already a decent size. Add in the archive section from the earlier years, with another huge chunk of content, and you've really got things rocking here in terms of numbers. They add a new scene daily at this point which should keep those numbers rising!

Quality is decent these days.

The pictures are well done, though they aren't huge or anything, but they look decent overall. New videos also come in HD, and again, although it's not the best HD in the world, they're at least putting forth some effort here for content quality.

Good viewing options.

There are several ways to view your content here. Even the photos have options with two sizes, zip files, and even a flash viewing setup if that's your thing. Videos come in two WMV, two Quicktime, and some streaming flash video options as well.

The Cons

Navigation could be better.

The whole site is just a bit difficult to navigate, and isn't setup the best for sure. It's a little confusing with the two sections divided up, but I'm mostly ignoring the older archive section at this point since I assume they tried to make things better with the new site. Still, there's nothing here in the way of any cool search features (just a too-simple search box), and the content is spread out between too many pages which makes things more difficult as well.

Older quality isn't as good.

Once you get past the newer scenes, the older content quality definitely isn't as good unfortunately. Pictures get quite small, and videos do the same. Quality takes a big nosedive slowly but surely, especially as you get back to the older years in the archive site.

Minor Negatives:

They do offer 1080p HD versions of their videos, but you'll have to buy them separately unfortunately. You only get access to the 720p versions with your membership which are decent, but could be better.
Though it eventually gets lower, the initial price of $35 is pretty high here for any site in my opinion.

Bottom Line

A large collection of decent scenes, though the site itself feels a little dated in a few areas.

William Higgins certainly delivers in terms of content. They have a good-sized collection, update daily, offer HD quality videos, and have a good variety of material spanning quite a few years. However, things like navigation are quite dated here unfortunately, and it makes getting around the site a lot more work than it needs to be. Plus, the slow downloads hurt things as well, though that will vary from one user to the next. Overall, they've got a nice collection, but a little site refresh would go a long way in my opinion to make things easier to use.
