Adult DVD Empire is a massive DVD movie site that incorporates viewing by VOD, rentals, download to own, and they also sell DVDs and Blu-rays. This is the sister site of Adult Empire.com which is kind of the VOD streaming pay-per-minute side of things while this Adult DVD Empire incorporates some of that along with the other purchase and rental options. Accounts at the two sites are interchangeable so if you make a purchase of VOD minutes here it shows up on your account at the Adult Empire.com site as well.

The Pros

Massive DVD Archive, Huge Numbers of Titles, Stars, & Studios.

The sheer quantity of movies in the archive here is really impressive. They have titles from all the different studios and if you're looking for it then it%u2019s probably in here. They also note that they have exclusive Digital Playground VODs so that may interest some users. In addition to all the different popular and micro niches the sizable number of classics is noteworthy as they have all the more recent stuff plus movies from decades past.

Multiple Purchase & Viewing Options; VOD/Rentals/Purchase.

Basically Adult DVD Empire covers everything under the umbrella that's outside of the standard monthly membership set-up. They have DVD and Blu-ray sales, VOD, rentals (online streaming and discs thru the mail), and even used discs for sale. They have the complete array and users who are looking for a more a la carte set-up will find this to have great choices available here.

The Cons

Some Movie Have More Limited Purchase/Viewing Options.

Some of the movies do have varying options on how you can view or access them. For instance some don%u2019t have the pay-per-minute or streaming rental or one or more of the options. Depending on which studio you're looking at it's possible the option you desire might not be there. On the disc rentals you can also run into those that are out to customers and you might have to wait a bit on your queue.

Can Get Expensive Fairly Quickly, Especially Rentals.

Of course with a pricing structure here being based on individual movie purchases, rentals, and VOD the cost can certainly add up quickly. The price on the rentals seemed to be a bit higher than the other VOD sites I've looked at in the past. Prices do vary depending on the studio and popularity of a given movie or star.

Minor Negatives:

Some of the VOD movies go at a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio meaning they use up your minutes in double or triple time. These premium titles are also more expensive in the download to own and rental options as well.
DRM restrictions are in place on some of the movies.Most do not have this restriction and they do have a section dedicated to the non-DRM movies but there are definitely some with DRM.

The other

This is the sister site of Adult Empire.com. That site is dedicated to VOD while Adult DVD Empire has more of a mix of VOD, Download to Own, Rentals, and DVD/Blu-ray sales.
