Intro

The Upper Floor is from the crew over at Kink.com who are masters of fetish and bdsm content. Their site portfolio includes a bunch of individual sites with all sorts of entertaining fetish concepts that they shoot at their San Francisco castle called The Armory. With the Upper Floor we're going to the high end of their sites as this one really focuses in on live shows, live cams, and community features along with archived downloadable episodes.

The Pros

Exclusive BDSM Content; Episodes, Live Shows, 24/7 Cams.

The content here comes in a few different forms. There is a sizable archive of a couple hundred downloadable episodes of videos along with accompanying photo galleries. These feature lengthy performances of around 45 minutes to over an hour with all sorts of fetish and hardcore activities and a whole slew of models. A schedule of upcoming Live Shows is clearly posted giving members access to live performances. Also there are 24/7 live cams to watch day-to-day activities when live shows aren't taking place.

Nice Quality WMV/MP4/Flash Videos, Photo Gallery Zips.

With The Upper Floor being a relatively new addition to the Kink.com portfolio they've been able to use consistent content options on all the episodes. These include HD quality MP4 and WMV files with both full-episode and clip segments available. In-browser Flash streaming is also excellent in terms of loading/buffering and then the photos can be viewed online or saved in zips.

Steady Updates, Regular Live Shows with Schedule.

The episode archive has all the shoots date-stamped and they generally add two per week with the occasional where there will be a touch more or a touch less activity. The live shows schedule stretches out for over a month making it easy for members to know when exactly the shows will be available.

Other Good Stuff:

Several community features make member interaction a real part of the site. There are discussion forums, member feedback/comments on the episodes, and live chat on the 24/7 webcam feeds.
Download speeds are above average as I was getting around 1.0-1.3MB/sec which is better than I see from most paysites. My download manager (software: IDM) also worked well so that's another option.

The Cons

Pretty Expensive Monthly Price, Higher than Most Other Paysites.

The Upper Floor is one of those sites that has premium level content with their live shows and exclusive BDSM/fetish episodes. For that they do charge a high membership price. I think they do have the content to justify the rate however it might still be of concern to many users. Unlike a lot of other companies Kink.com doesn't give members bonus site access and they do have some banner ads for their other sites in The Upper Floor's member's area.

Minor Negatives:

The streaming videos always start playing when you open an episode page. This can get a little annoying when you're just going for the download links.
The downloadable movie files and photo gallery zips do not have any file size information posted.
Show scheduling can be a bit inconsistent with shows on back-to-back days or a period of a couple weeks without one scheduled.

Available to users is a a good amount of information and background on the Kink.com Armory, the performers, heirarchy, house doctrine, etc.

Bottom Line

This Kink.com fetish/BDSM site has a unique blend of downloadable episodes & regular live shows.

Kink.com has all sorts of fetish sites yet The Upper Floor stands out because it incorporates live shows as such a big part of the content. It's an excellent and entertaining collection that does a nice job giving regular live shows but also several hundred archived episodes giving it a nice balance. The price tag is probably the one thing that'll jump out on the negative side since the company knows this is a specialized collection they charge a premium for it.
