Intro

Explicite Art is the brainchild of producer John B. Root who has a resume that includes mainstream films but now is one of France's most famous directors of adult content. This site has been around for years and evolved and grown nicely over the years into a collection that includes sexy European, glamour softcore scenes, hardcore shoots, and high-resolution content. There are a lot of both pic galleries and videos available with several hundred models. The guest tour has lots of samples, info on John, and will give you a nice feel for what the collection is like overall.

The Pros

Exclusive Artistic Euro Glamour Content, Soft/Hard/Extreme.

The main selling point here is that Explicite does offer original content from John Root who produces his own content. The Euro models are a plus and while most are white there are some nice asian and black models in the mix as well. Generally speaking Explicite is a glamour style site however it breaks ranks with many other such sites in that here you get a whole lot of hardcore action including stuff like groupsex, anal, insertions, etc. The solo softcore is available but the hardcore is way more than an afterthought as a lot of the content is dedicated to that type of action.

Big Collection of Both Galleries & Videos, 100's of Models.

Quantity is something that has been improved of the years at Explicite. There is actually a content count tracker at the top of the site that can be seen by guests and members. Hundreds of total models are available and the number of photo galleries and videos is large for an exclusive collection like this.

High-Res Pics, HD Quality Newer Vids, Good Download Options.

The photo galleries include high resolution image that reach around 3000x2000 and they do have multiple image sizes for viewing online. The videos have many formats that include MOV, DivX, WMV, MPG, and MP4 with many scenes being available in full-scene files. The newer movies have HD level quality in the MOV format which s 5200k 1280x720. Download speeds were standard for me at around 650-700kb/sec and my DL manager (software: IDM) worked fine and sped things up.

Other Good Stuff:

There is a section called 'All Films' which has some fully developed porn movies. Although they seem like some of John's older stuff it's still a nice addition to the site.
Besides the main picture and video sections there is a model index which links through to each girl's appearances. Also there is a simple niche browsing tool and an Advanced Search for more detailed filtering.
Updates are made regularly with daily or near daily additions to the collection.
These guys have set up a special discount price for TBP users which makes the cost lower than their standard rate.

The Cons

No HD Quality for Most Vids, Zip Files Only in One Quality Level.

The bulk of the movies don't have the HD quality level available as the site seems to have gone a long time before making the upgrade to that level. Also, MOV is the only format for the HD as DivX and WMV are the more standard options. They use the formats for different quality levels and don't have quality choices for within the formats themselves. No in-browser playback is available at all as they don't have a streaming option. As you go back in the photo galleries there is a drop off in quality so some shoots don't have the highest quality level. For the zip file they restrict those to one quality level which is unusual for a site like this as I would expect the same choices on the zips as there are for online pic viewing.

Shoots Aren't Date-Stamped, May Be Some Content Rotation.

There is an update history on the member's main page however when you dive into the content listings the individual photo galleries and videos aren't date-stamped which surprised me and is not typical of original photographer/producer collection of this kind. That makes it difficult to know exactly when different shoots were made or added to the site. Our TBP content count mangers have noted periods where the overall content counts haven't changed so it's possible some content is rotated on and off the site at times.

Minor Negatives:

Some video scenes are broken into parts. On these it's usually 2 or 3 parts so there aren't full-shoot files for these. Also, in the 'All Films' section these movies are broken into lots of parts, usually around 8 or 10 segments again without the full-movie option.
Only a little information provided on the models. More details stats and biographical details would have been better.
The special TBP pricing doesn't apply to many non-U.S. users as that price point is higher and in Euros.

The other

The site has both English and French versions however much of the content is in French only.

Bottom Line

European glamour content from producer John B. Root with a mix of softcore, hardcore, & extreme.

Explicite incorporates a number of different genres into its concept with the foundation of Euro models and exclusive glamour style shoots. The amount of hardcore will surprise surfers who initially think this is a softcore photography style site. It goes well beyond that into hardcore, groupsex, and some extreme action. Overall the site does well in its design and download options although there is some room for further improvements. Overall it's an impressive site and has lots of stylish Euro action.
