Intro

Karup's Hometown Amateurs is one of the better-known amateur powerhouse sites and right off the bat it's easy to see why. The collection dates back nine years and includes over a million photos of cute girl-next-door types getting naughty for the camera. You'll find solo and hardcore scenes of more than 1,200 fresh-faced amateurs inside.

The Pros

Huge site!

Karup's HA is a really large collection. There are currently a whopping 7,209 galleries and 2,737 videos featuring more than 1,200 models. The site has been around since 2001 and in the years since has grown into a really awesome, complete amateur collection.

Good quality content.

The latest mp4 videos play at 4000k and are 1280x720 in size. These high definition videos are sharp and just great to find on an amateur-themed site! As for the wmvs, while not technically high definition, they are high quality and quite a bit sharper than I expected. The photos also look really good. Most galleries offer two image sizes, up to 1500x1000. The scenes retain an amateur style, but they're really well-lit and have a professional quality to them.

Exclusive scenes.

All of the material here is exclusive and won't be found anywhere else. Karup and his team seek out beautiful amateur women to be photographed for only this site. It's really incredible that they've managed to put together such a large collection of all-original material.

Other Good Stuff:

Large, near-daily updates. In the last week, 12 new galleries and 8 new videos were added. Although updates don't technically occur daily, they come at least every other day and multiple scenes are added at a time.
Quick downloads! Using the browser I got speeds of 900kbps while using a download manager the videos came in at 6.2mbps. No waiting needed for these scenes.
Nice streaming player! The Flash player looked good and buffered quickly. You could jump around the scene immediately.
The Advanced Search tool lets members search by any combination of age, breast size, clothing, fetish, location, and more. The categories and model index are also very helpful.
Photos can be downloaded in zip files and in the last few years, they've been offered in two image sizes.

The Cons

Content quality varies.

It was in 2007 that they moved to high resolution photos with sizes of 1500x1000. Prior to that photos were 1024x682 and earlier, 768x512. As for the videos, it was only in 2009 that they moved to higher quality videos. All videos added from 2001 to June 2009 play at between 800k 2700k and are 640x480 in size. They look average amateur quality, not nearly as sharp as the newer movies.

Minor Negatives:

The WMV videos labeled "HD" aren't truly high definition. They play at 1800k-3000k and are just 960x540 in size (not 1280x720). They look good, but they're not technically high definition.
The HD mp4s have restrictions on download managers. While the wmvs flew at 6.2mbps, the mp4s were closer to 1.1mbps. Combined with larger file sizes, it took a while to download these scenes.
There are no scene descriptions and none of the models have biographies. It's a shame since this is an original collection that they don't offer more info.
The older videos are only offered as wmv clips. Full-length files, Flash, and other download formats were all added at various times over the last 9 years.

Bottom Line

An all-around solid amateur collection that delivers in every area.

Karup's Hometown Amateurs is definitely a solid join for amateur fans. The size of the collection is incredible and the update schedule shows that the site is continuing to get even bigger at a great pace. The fact that it's all original is very impressive and I was really pleased to see the addition of high definition videos to the collection. The membership cost of $30 a month is right in line with what I would expect to pay for this many babes in a collection like this. The site could use a few tweaks, it isn't the most advanced collection I've seen, but all in all it's an entertaining set of material on a user-friendly site that fans of real cuties-next-door will definitely enjoy.
