Intro

Met Art is one of the top glamour photography sites around. They have years of archives featuring a mix of photo gallery and video content. In addition to being a nude photography site the other niches hit on throughout this collection include high-resolution, young adult, European models, and softcore. These guys describe their collection as "erotic nude art photography" and I'd say that's very accurate portrayal of what's here. Surfers can get a nice feel for the models and style of content featured from the samples on the guest tour.

The Pros

Huge Collection of Exclusive Nude Photography Content.

Met Art has been plying their trade for a decade which makes them a very well established paysite. The member's area has a clear list of content by year from the present all the way back to 2004. Following that a dedicated "Archive" section houses the content from previous years. Suffice it to say the total amount of picture galleries is enormous so they do very well in terms of quantity. A separate movies section is also available which features many hundreds of videos that are roughly 10 minutes in length each. That's a deep collection for a site where photography and picture galleries are the primary focus.

Sexy Euro Models in Creative & Artistic Shoots.

This is an excellent collection for fans of glamour photography and/or European models. The bulk of the girls are from Eastern European countries and they are sexy girls. A page is dedicated for browsing the top photographers and it's also possible to search by those criteria on the Advanced Search tool. The content has a definite level of professionalism and creativity that is impressive.

Ultra High-Res Content, Nice Viewing/Download Options.

Content quality is a clear plus as these guys push the envelope in terms of offering ultra high-res images. Picture options include high-res, mid-res, and low-res levels with Zip downloads for each. They also have the gallery "cover" which is viewable with or without the text on it. The movies are also high-res with DivX for the highest quality download. Other formats are WMV, MPEG, QT, iPod, PSP, and Flash streaming. All are full-video files.

Year/Month Browsing, Model Index, & Search Tools.

The design is sharp and fits well with the content. The navigation includes year/month chronological browsing plus a dedicated movies section which has all the site's videos. The model index has an A-to-Z list of the models and you can view headshots or "cover" images. A basic keyword search and advanced search tool are other navigation aids. The advanced search is more of a filter tool with criteria like model physical characteristics, shoot location, photographer, and country of origin.

The update pace here is consistent and impressive. No doubt it's what has allowed them to build up such a sizable database of material. Really one or two new photo gallery updates daily would be expected for a site like this so Met Art exceeds what's standard for their niche. Additions to the movies section are steady with an average of 2 to 4 new videos each week.

The Cons

Lesser Quality Levels on Archived/Older Content.

This is something that's typical of a site like this with stuff going back many years. The picture galleries in the archives section have varying quality levels that aren't up to the ultra high- res newer material. The same goes for the videos where the oldest ones have more average specs and those are often shorter shoots as well.

Could Use Movie Page Categorization or Sorting Tools.

The dedicated movies section has the vids organized chronologically. There are enough entries to justify further sorting/filter tools to help members find specific types of shoots. The site's Advanced Search feature also doesn't have a way to just search the movies which would have been helpful.

Some Models Have No Biographical Info.

The model info isn't all that easy to spot to begin with as there is a little "Model Info" link at the top of the gallery pages. That brings up a small window with some physical stats and sometimes a written blub about the girl. While bumping around the model index I noted quite a number of models with no details provided at all.

Minor Negatives:

The Flash streaming doesn't allow for jumping around. The movie freezes up when you try to jump to another part of the video.
The picture gallery zip files don't have file size details posted.
There are some upsells in the member's area like private cam shows, DVDs, and banner ads.
Background music is a part of the videos shoots which some surfers may not care for.

Met Art offers up just what you'd expect from a glamour photography site. The main assets are the years of archives, ultra high-res content, and stylish shoots. The positives clearly outweigh the negatives as the things that could be improved are more minor issues that don't have a great impact on the content itself.
