VideoBox has been our go-to DVD mega-site for years now. They jumped ahead of the crowd back in the day with a low price, all of the features you could ask for, and more updates than most were offering at the time. Much remains the same today, which is both good and bad of course. They still have all the same big numbers, updates, options, and more, but there hasn't been as much innovation lately. They do keep plugging away with new scenes, and they do add more studios from time to time to keep things interesting (including a few higher-end ones that will cost you extra). They've set up a great discount for our users so you can join for just $12 a month, which is about as cheap as it comes for porn memberships these days.

Huge collection of gay DVD material.
Since they're a DVD mega-site, you can definitely expect big numbers here, and VideoBox doesn't disappoint. There are over 18,000 DVDs online, which translates to over 100,000 individual scenes. How many times can you even jack off in a day? Do the math, and you'll see that you can have a lot of fun here.
Updates come very often.
This past week has brought in 43 new DVDs to the site, each with several scenes available, which is pretty typical for a week here. You won't get bored for a lack of content here, that's for damn sure.
Navigation is still very nice.
Nothing's really changed here, but they did very well when they set up the navigation years ago. There are a lot of categories to choose from (even more than you initially see there), and you can choose as many as you want to create your own custom search setup. Of course, you can also browse the basics, such as by pornstar, or studio.
Nice download options available, including custom clips.
The standard video downloads come in three MP4 quality options, and two WMV options. HD videos will add another option.
From there, you can also create custom clips. Choose your start and end points for the scene (maybe you hate all the foreplay!), and it'll make your own clip just for your own enjoyment.
TV options could be a hit.
In case you're used to the days where you could pop in a tape and watch some porn, you may feel a little jaded that computer screens are small, and maybe tough to share with your partner. They have an option to view the scenes on both an Apple TV or a Roku box. Both are about $99 (or cheaper if you want one of the lower-end Rokus), but I'd lean towards Roku as the go-to option. The Apple TV setup is a little clunky with the need to download the file, import it to iTunes on your computer, then stream it via AirPlay.
They have their own channel on Roku. It's not the most robust, but I like the direction they're headed. You can search by category or title, or just have a random video pop up for you. You can create your own "stash" on the Roku as well, though I don't think it integrates with your stash on their website. The quality isn't perfect, but it was pretty much as expected, and the ability to have a porn clip playing on your TV in under a minute was pretty fun for sure.
Other Good Stuff:
- Included with your membership is their mobile version of the site, which will let you browse and watch all their content right on your phone.
- They are now offering some HD videos from those studios that have them. They look pretty good, but only come in one option for now. Still, it's nice to see the addition.
- You can create your own personal stash of porn here. Add in anything you want, from pornstars, to scenes, to DVDs, to your custom clips that you created. You can categorize them by folder if you want even, and then your perfect collection is always waiting for you here.
- They have a pretty nice recommendation engine that will help you find similar scenes that they think you might like.

Non-exclusive material.
They're not competing with unique material here, that's for sure. Many other DVD mega-sites are in the same boat, so it's not unexpected, but the content here is much more generic than on other paysites you'll come across. There's a lot of it, so you can definitely find stuff you haven't seen before, but it all has that DVD feel to it for sure.
Not much new going on in several years.
Granted, Video Box broke the mold back in the day with how many options they put into a site, how much content they had, and how low of a price they offered it for. But the site is essentially the same now for the past few years. A lot has changed in that time, so I would have loved to see some new options or features to make the site continue to feel current. More content is always better, but it's not the only thing to focus on.
Minor Negatives:
- Not all of their search categories are available at first glance. They have the big main list up top, but you'll see that some individual videos have even more options. I understand that a huge list of tags may be overwhelming, but it's also confusing when you all of a sudden can't find something you know you saw.
- There are a few upgrades they try to throw at you. It's not the worst thing in the world, as you get access to material that's a bit more original, but they do pop up from time to time.

They still offer all the greatness from before, but I haven't seen as much innovation lately.
It's tough to really fault VideoBox. They put their heart into the site several years ago and really set the bar high for similar DVD sites. It's just as good as ever in that regard, but it's the rest of the online porn world that's changed in the meantime. There's a lot of porn available out there now, and I think VideoBox is still a fantastic option if you want to get away from the shady tube sites and just get access to a ton of porn without much fuss, and without a high cost. Where they are falling behind a bit is in the innovation and new features department. There just hasn't been much change here in a while. Plus, there are some awesome exclusive niche sites out there now that offer a lot more in terms of unique material, higher quality, and other features. VideoBox is still great at what it does, but I'd say their market isn't as cool as it once was. It's definitely still one of the best DVD sites money can buy, and I think it's a great way to get access to a huge porn library. If it fits the bill for what you're looking for, I can't think of too many better options in this niche at all!
