(Silver - non-recurring)Superlative Comics is up for review today, and this is a pretty unique comics site that seems to feature at least some exclusive material. So many similar sites are huge, but offer an extreme variety of non-exclusive content, so at least there's something different from the norm here. It's a weird mix of art overlaid on actual photos sometimes. Plus there's the whole storyline and all. I'd say check out their free sample to see what you think and go from there. It'll cost you $18 to join for a single month, or you can join the three-day trial for $5, and stick around for $15 if you want.
The Superlative Maiden comic section is what's really different from the norm here. They look to be their own creation, and they're an interesting mix of around 80% art/comic, and 20% of an actual photo with a comic overlaid on top. For instance, a new face may be drawn on, or you may see an actual girl posing doggy style with an alien drawn in behind her fucking her. It's very different.
Updates do come in regularly here once each week. Since it's all comic content, they may not be as large as some sites, but they're coming.
I would guess that the Superlative Maiden content is exclusive here, while the general comic area might not be.
It's tough to even get an exact count on the content here, but don't expect much at all. They have maybe 20 comics in each section, or less. Each of them can be pretty large, but it pales in comparison to the huge anime sites we're used to seeing.
The site looks really, really bad unfortunately. It looks like it was designed 5-10 years ago and never updated. I had no idea where to head, or how to get to the content for a few minutes. Even then, the galleries are cluttered and confusing to find the actual download links.
They offer a few different ways to view the comics, including PDF downloads, but the single image downloads were not working for me. I ended up with a PHP/HTML error that lead to a 404. I assume it's a glitch, but it was annoying.
Superlative Comics is so different and out there that I fear it will have a very limited audience. You have to get into the comics, and once you do, there's really not very much to see overall. Updates are a bit slow, as expected, but new stuff is coming at least. The site itself is horrible, with some of the worst navigation and design elements I've seen in a while. You can get your bearings after a while, but it'll never be pretty. I'd say this is only good if you've seen the free sample and like it enough to check out, though I don't know how long I'd stick around personally due to the lack of content and all.
