Like other DVD sites, the tour and member's area are essentially the same, allowing users to get a feel for the content and navigation even before spending a dime. It's definitely worthwhile to check it out, after reading our review, of course.
Large video collection.
There's a lot to see here. There are currently 6,115 DVDs online for a total of 31,330 scenes. The hardcore collection is well-rounded, with themes like big dicks, orgies, assplay, and even niches like Euro and Gothic. No matter what your taste in porn, odds are they've got it here for you to enjoy.
Easy to navigate.
Movie Room has some very useful browse features. In addition to being able to browse both the scenes and DVDs by category, name, date, and rating, there's a Pornstar Explorer to help make your way through the actresses. You can search them by ethnicity, hair color, boob size, body type, and ass. Or browse them by name or rating. This is an impressive way to browse the ladies!
Updates come daily. A new DVD is added every single day, and that's the entire DVD, not just a scene. 90 minutes of content added daily is sure to keep members busy.
Videos can be streamed in browser using Flash and downloaded as mp4s in two quality settings.
Non-exclusive collection.
None of the content here is exclusive. That should be expected on a site like this but it is still worth mentioning. You won't find anything original here.
Quality could be better.
Although the quality wasn't bad, the site isn't keeping up with current standards and expectations for video sizes. These scenes play at 720 x 480. They look like ok DVD quality scenes, but nothing great. A move to high definition would certainly be welcomed.
There are some ads in the member's area which made for some cluttered pages.
Very little information is provided for the models. You'll also find no file sizes for the downloadable video files.
There's plenty to enjoy here, but higher quality is something I'd really like to see.
Movie Room is a fairly standard DVD archive site with a few noteworthy features. In particular, I was impressed with many of their navigational tools. There's plenty to enjoy here and getting around isn't hard at all. I was less impressed with the actual quality of the collection. Additionally, the price is actually quite a bit higher than what we're seeing on many other sites in this genre. All in all, it was a mixed bag for me. There's plenty to enjoy, but the site could stand stronger against the competition with a few upgrades.
