Kara's is one of those sites where quantity is the main selling point. They have thousands of DVD titles each of which has 4-5 scenes on average which makes for a lot of movies in many popular genres from all different studios. The pictures also run the gamut with solo model and hardcore action featuring all different types of models and genres of porn.

With the amount of content being what it is the navigation setup is important. Kara's works pretty well and has in place the fundamentals the include niche breakdown of the videos and picture sections, a full model/performer list, and a keyword search. There is also a studio list, favorites tool, and a few other features.

WMV Full-Scene Downloads & Flash Streaming Options.

While the quality levels do differ between the newer and older videos the actual download format options are consistent and straightforward with full scene WMV files for all movies. Newer movies have higher quality WMV levels of 2000k 720x480 along with Flash streaming. There is a dedicated section of the higher quality movies and they constitute about 1/3 of the collection.

Download speeds are solid. On my 20MBps connection I got 1.0-1.2MB/sec for browser downloads. My download manager (IDM) also worked fine.

Newer pictures are sharp and very clear with sizes of 1200x800.

Many Videos Have Lower Quality Specs, No Gallery Zip Files.

Content quality and options could be improved here. The top level WMV files are only average for a paysite and the majority of movies have unimpressive 700k specs and the in-browser streaming on those is small WMV instead of Flash. The lack of zip files on the pictured galleries is a real negative for a collection like this. Also, image sharpness/quality varies depending on the shoot.

Non-Exclusive Content, Mixed Bag of Newer & Older Stuff.

This is the negative that goes along with them having a large archive of content. Basically this is non-original content from a mix of sources and as you go through the site you'll find newer content along with shoots and performers from many years back. With exclusive content being the focus of so many sites these days Kara's collection seems dated and as a result the entertainment value is noticeably lower than it was in the past.

Trial Only Join Option, High Monthly Price, & Member Area Ads.

Usually items like the price structure and ads would be listed as a minor negative however there numerous things here that elevated it to a major bullet point. The membership requires a trial that recurs at an insanely high monthly price. The member's area is cluttered with all sorts of upsells and ads for cams, personals, paysites, and even a full-page ad upon logging in.

The model index doesn't have preview pictures and the set-up is number based. You can't pull up lists alphabetically by letter.

The individual DVD listings don't have hyperlinked performer names which would make it much easier to click over to a model's other content.

A big archive of non-exclusive photos & videos that is hurt by the large number of ads.

Kara's has updated their site steadily over the years and the main asset is the large archive of content. The changes they%u2019ve made have helped but in a couple critical ways the site still has a feel like it%u2019s stuck in the past. These included the pricing structure and the overwhelming number of advertisements in the member%u2019s area. Other than the quantity they aren't providing any other feature that stands out like content quality, update pace, or anything else. They continue to simply be a source of lots and lots of non-exclusive content, both pictures and videos.
