The fact that these movies are uncensored really caught my attention, because too often you're enjoying a sexy Japanese flick only to have the action blurred away. Their movies are direct from Asia, no American impostors here, just sexy Japanese chicks in hardcore videos.
Good-sized collection!
JP18 definitely has size working in its favor! The collection offers members more than 310 videos to enjoy. The videos are divided into the sections solo teens, group sex, one on one, girl-girl, and exhibitionism. Group sex and one on one are by far the largest sections of the site. As promised, it's all uncensored and it gets very hardcore.
Authentic Japanese movies.
This is the real deal. These are real porn flicks direct from Japan. The actresses were all new to me and they're actual Japanese girls. The dialogue is all in Japanese, as well, so you better brush up if you're hoping to catch what they're talking about. They definitely deliver on all their promises of real Asian movies.
Clean site design. It isn't fancy but it's clean and doesn't have any annoying ads.
There are a couple of options for viewing the videos. Each file is offered as an mpg, avi, and mp4. The mpgs and avis are offered as both clips and full-length files.
No longer updating.
The last time JP18 was updated was in November, presumably of 09. It's misleading because the tour is still covered with claims of daily updates when that clearly appears to no longer be the case.
Video quality could be better.
The scenes looked decent, but not great. The videos play at around 2000k and are 720x480 in size. They weren't terribly grainy or anything, I just thought they could have been sharper and I'm not sure if they're living up to the claims of DVD quality movies.
Downloads were super slow. I haven't seen a site with 75KB/sec in forever. The download manager helped very little. Be prepared for some long wait times.
There are no photos here, just vidcaps.
Very little info is provided for the scenes or models. They don't provide even the name of the model! None of the scenes have dates on them either. You do get some file info, but not enough of the actual scene.
No video streaming option.
Plenty to enjoy, but lack of updates and quality left me unimpressed.
JP18 was a great Japanese video site a few years back but I'm afraid things aren't what they used to be. Obviously the lack of updates is a big problem. Also, the video quality isn't keeping up with the times. The whole site could be more user-friendly. Membership is $30 so maybe it's worth a shot for one month to see what it's all about, but with no updates it's probably not worth sticking around beyond that. It hasn't been that long since they stopped updating so maybe they'll pick back up again and we can talk then.
