(recurring)Date A Cougar is up for review today, and this is a dating site that's setup for men to find women in the cougar age range, which I'd peg in the 35-45 range as the meaty part of the curve. Beyond that, it's a pretty typical dating site with profiles, communication options, etc., and it's up to you to do the leg work and actually get in touch with people and get a date going. $30 a month gets you in the door here.
They do have all the basics you'd look for in a dating site here at least. The profiles can be pretty specific, when filled out fully, and the search is pretty cool as well, as you'd expect. They don't do much beyond those basics, but they do the normal stuff well enough at least.
They try to focus on cougars here. There are girls of all ages listed, but hopefully the majority of them will fall into that age range.
When looking for someone locally, there were a few profiles to check out, but many of them were empty or very bare bones at least. You can filter those out, but it makes the site feel incredibly small. They need to figure out a way to get more people active and involved here, with full profiles, to make it feel worth the membership fee.
They do have all the basics here, and they've just added a forum and rapid match feature at least (according to the "new" icons at least), but there's just nothing unique or exciting here in terms of a dating site. It's very basic overall, and doesn't give anyone a reason to like this dating site over any of the countless others that are out there, in my opinion.
Honestly, $30 a month seems a bit expensive for what you get here. I can't imagine I'd stick around long unless things really improved.
Date A Cougar doesn't really do much above and beyond the basics for a dating site here. They do feature a good search, some nice profiles, etc., but those are all pretty standard. There's not a ton of active people (mostly guys online right now), and nothing that would make this site stand out as a really cool dating site in any way. I guess if you're looking for a cougar, it might be worth a quick join to see if you find a match, but I'd love to see more done here to get people active in the site to really help things grow.
