More sexual than art sites like MET Art and more artsy than glamour sites like Suze.net, Blue Nudes is really an interesting combination of concepts. The primary photographer is Tom Ruddock, though the site includes large galleries from eight additional photogs. All have a very similar photographic style - clean, erotic and artistic. I'm a big fan of these professional glamour sites and was really looking forward to seeing the inside of Blue Nudes.
All exclusive content.
The galleries on Blue Nudes won't be found anywhere else. Though the galleries feature some big name models, like Aria Giovanni, Zdenka, and Victoria Zdrok, the scenes themselves are exclusive to the site. It was really fascinating to watch these famous ladies photographed in such a unique style. They are artsy in that there is a lot of playing with light and contrast and I personally would choose to look at these pictures more to admire the beauty than to get my jollies, but they are sexy enough that you don't get the feeling that these pictures could be hanging in a museum. This is definitely adult material. Aside from the solo galleries you'll also find several girl-girl sets full of kissing and implied sex.
High quality photos.
All of their photographers are very skilled, and though all will put their own unique touch to a scene, the end result is always gorgeous. The photos go up to 2000x1333 in size and the scenes are very professionally done. Some of the studios they use are just beautiful. They'll also use interesting light to change the mood in a set. It's a really fantastic collection.
Attractive design. The colors and graphics of the site are nearly as intriguing as the galleries.
Photos are offered in two or three image sizes.
No longer updating.
I was so disappointed to find that the site stopped updating two years ago! The last scene was added in August of 2007 and it's like time had stood still. Unfortunately, there won't be any more beautiful scenes added to this collection.
Tiny video section.
There are only 5 movies on the site. They're only around 3 minutes long each so there really isn't much to this section of the site. Though they look nice enough, I wouldn't recommend joining Blue Nudes for the video content.
Small photo collection.
There are fewer than 5,000 pictures on the site. With hardly any videos and no updates coming, there just isn't a lot to see here.
No zip downloads for photos.
At full-size, many of the pictures looked slightly blurry. Some looked more like scans than digital photos, but I can't say for sure.
No scene or model info. I was really hoping to read a bit by the actual photographers of what it was like to work with a model or why they styled the scene the way they did. Unfortunately, no info is available.
Glamour, art, and high quality....but the site no longer updates.
I can't tell you how disappointed I was to find that Blue Nudes is no longer updating. This is such a sexy collection; there really aren't many (any?) sites offering content that is such an awesome combination of sexy and artistic. As it is now, the site is still worth a try just to enjoy the small collection they do have up, but no need to stick around, of course. It's a nice-looking photo archive, at least, but it's a shame because it could have been so much more.
