(recurring)Black Label Skin describes its content as "sophisticated, high quality erotic entertainment" so the focus is on glamour style softcore. In addition there is a community side to the site with information on things like fashion, art, wine/spirits, technology, autos, etc. At the time of this review the site is pretty new on the scene so they haven't yet put together the About page however the samples and items available on the tour gave me a pretty good idea what they're all about. Essentially you have photos and videos and then articles on various topics.
The content consists of glamour style content with sexy pro and semi-pro looking models in solo stripping and teasing type shoots. Originality and the artistic flair here are the main characteristics that stand out. It's also worth noting that there is roughly an equal amount of galleries and video an in fact there are actually a bit more of the videos which is good to see.
These are the two content options that stood out the most as positives. Videos are available in full-video WMV, MOV, and MP4 files with the WMV as the highest level at 5000k 1280x720. There is also in-browser streaming which allows for immediate jumping ahead. Photo galleries can be viewed online or saved in zip files.
The community features do include a decent number of articles on topics such as Fashion, Art, Wine/Sprits, Technology, and Automobiles.
Galleries/videos are date-stamped with update information showing when they were added to the site. The site is relatively new at the time of this review but content updates are coming at a nice pace so far.
The download links to the videos didn't function as they do on most paysites. The 'Save Target As' option wasn't available so I had to open the WMV stream and then from my Media Player click 'Save As' to download the file. Also, the in-browser stream always starts playing upon opening any of the individual videos pages which can get a bit annoying. For a softcore/glamour site the photo options were could be improved. Viewing the pictures online opens them in a lightbox viewer geared towards slideshow viewing. You must download images to see the full-sized picture.
This review was written a few months following the site launch which was in fall 2010. The dates on the community articles are all dated from around the site launch with no ongoing or recent updates to those. Also the model blogs and other Groups features seem to be pretty inactive. As I mentioned in my review intro even the "About" page on the guest tour is incomplete so the community part of the sites isn't really flowing yet.
The photo album and video content numbers posted on the site don't actually match up with the actual amounts available. Their numbers claim more than twice as many shoots as area actually online.
The models page isn't alphabetical and the only filter tools are online/offline and female/male which aren't really useful options at all.
Black Label's pictures and videos offer up the kind of stylish softcore stuff you expect to see from a glamour site. That being said the picture quality and amount of content is significantly less than so many other sites with similar material. This is a competitive niche and the high-def videos and largely in-active community features don't do enough to offset the relatively small sized collection. Since this was a new site at the time of this review it'll be interesting to see how things progress once they've been online for a year or two.
