Ban Smut is also known as the B.S. Network and it's a bit of a hybrid between a single paysite and a full-on network. In listing it here at TBP we have it as a single paysite since that's how the operators are now packaging it. This is an exclusive collection from photographer Adam Blake and it offers up a pretty eccentric collection of niches ranging from themes like British wives to weapons/paintball to alt/goth models. The tour here lays out the included sites however it doesn't allow for getting much of a preview of the content so a review like this along with site content facts can be helpful in that way.
Sizable Collection of Exclusive Amateur Content.
There are nine total sections or sites under the Ban Smut umbrella. While the total amount of content varies for each there's quite a bit available when you add it all up. Photo galleries are emphasized more than videos but most of the sites have at least some videos shoots in their collection. The models definitely fit nicely into both the amateur and/or wife niches as Adam has a mix of young adult and middle aged models depending on what site you're talking about. Solo stripping/posing style shoots are emphasized and then some boy/girl hardcore is sprinkled in to various sites.
Unique Blend of Concepts; British, Wives, Weapon, Alt/Goth, Etc.
This stood out most to me as I browsed Ban Smut. Right off the British model, British housewife, and Cricket Babes really bring an English and European flair to the collection. Things are even more off the beaten path with concepts like Van Babes (van/work ladies), XB Babes (weapons), and Naked Paintballing. There is also Alt Doll with goth type models and a site dedicated to Tinsley Towers. I tend to like sites that do something unique or specialize in creative concepts and Ban Smut meets that criteria.
Picture size and quality is pretty good for many galleries with images around 1050x700.
Videos are in WMV format and can be downloaded through standard browser downloads or by using a download manager.
No Vids for Some Sections, Vids are often in Clips or Stream-Only.
There are several issues that negatively affect the videos collection here. Right off some sections don't have videos available at all or only have a couple shoots. One site, British Slags, has the WMV videos in streaming-only format. The others have downloadable WMV files but they are below average quality and often in clip segments only.
Navigation is Poor, No Shoot or Model Details Provided.
The navigation setup is very basic and it has a stale feeling because there isn't any summary information provided for the galleries or videos. I expected some background info since this is original stuff shot by this one photographer. Simple photo and video sections are set-up for each site with galleries listed on page after page without an discernable organization beyond what I assume is chronological order.
No Update Log or Specifics, Shoots Aren't Date Stamped.
Update information is completely left off the Ban Smut collection. They don't have any section highlighting newly added content nor are there any specific dates on the individual galleries or videos. There is no way to know if or how often they are adding new shoots or models.
Some picture galleries have small or lower quality images. No picture options or zip files are available.
Lots of password prompts. They come up when viewing the videos and when navigating from site to site.
An interesting collection of British Amateur content but the content options & infrastructure could use work.
Ban Smut is one of those sites where the content stands out because it's pretty unique. Exclusivity and the British models are what are best about the collection. The pic/vid options and things like navigation and updates are really negatives that hamper the site's value.
