Absolutely Male is up for review today, and this site features a pretty wide variety of gay material. A lot of it comes from DVD sources, so there is anything from solo to group sex here, as with most DVD type sites. There's nothing too different from the norm here, but you should be able to find something you like at least. Their pricing setup is very weird, and not in a good way: there's a mandatory $2 3-day trial that recurs at $50 a month. Holy fuck!!
1,250 photo galleries, 450 videos (I'm guessing based on the 135-ish DVDs they have online) makes for a pretty large collection. There's plenty to see here if you don't mind things a little generic, and it should keep you busy for a while if you really dive in to everything.
There are a couple other gay sites you get access to with your membership here, which should help spread the numbers out a bit and make your membership a little more worthwhile. Anything extra is good with how much this site costs.
They do have a small collection of exclusive material here, which is separated out and labeled.
Ok, you can join for a few days for $2, but that's not the main story here. If you rebill, it's $50 for a month, which is kind of insane. I don't think any site is worth that much per month, let alone one that has more generic content like this and is not updating. Watch out for this one.
The majority of the content here is definitely pretty generic and non-exclusive. The videos all come from DVD sources, so it's content you may have seen before elsewhere. Buyer beware if you've been a member at many gay paysites before.
There are quite a few ads floating around the site, and many are blinking and offering you to jump somewhere else and spend some more money (mostly cam and dating stuff). Some even popup onto the lower part of your screen, which is just too much for me even in a tour, let alone a paid member's area. They even have a full page ad right after you login, which is old-school annoying advertising.
The streaming player isn't even really streaming, as you have to download the whole video to jump around.
Nothing is dated here unfortunately, but it doesn't look like they're updating very often at this point, if at all (according to our counts).
I like having the categories and models to choose from, but they should combine it all into an advanced search to let you find specific content more easily.
They have some video options labeled as HD, but they are nowhere near close to high definition specs at all.
There are no zip files available here for the photo galleries, which may be annoying for some.
There's a lot to see here at Absolutely Male, but the whole site just feels a little behind the times in my opinion. The non-exclusive content feels pretty generic at times, and the lack of updates for a while isn't helping things. Quality is pretty bad overall, especially for the videos. I think you could have an okay time here, but it just doesn't live up to the newer sites we see these days. The insane price tag is the final nail in the coffin for me, as it's about one of the most expensive sites you can find out there.
