Mystique's philosophy is that sexy is in the mind of the viewer. It's not about being as explicit as possible, it's about enticing with beautiful women in beautiful locations. The scenes are sexier than Victoria's Secret, but not as revealing as Playboy.
Exclusive content.
Everything on Mystique is exclusive. With such a specific site philosophy, it's best to use original content. The founding photographer, Mark Daughn, has been published in Playboy and Penthouse, among others. He shoots the majority of the photos on Mystique. They seek out new models and incredible locations for an entirely unique photo and video collection that you won't find anywhere else.
High quality pics & vids.
The quality of these pictures and videos is excellent. Photos come in five sizes, up to 3000x1996. They're not just big, either. They are sharp and gorgeous and really look professional. The videos play in five formats, with the highest settings on the DivX 2000k files. The movies look great and definitely feel like big budget productions.
Easy to navigate.
They've got some really great features for navigating the site. You can view the top rated models or the top rated collections. You can browse the models by name or age. You can filter them by hair or eye color, cup size, height, breast type, etc. There's also a keyword search. Check out the Popular Searches to see what other members are looking for. It's a clean set-up that is easy to get around.
Large collection.
There are currently 33,000 pictures and 775 videos online here. They've got some of the most well-known women in porn, like Zdenka Podkapova, Kyla Cole, Sandee Westgate, and others, along with newer beauties you may not have seen before. It's a large site that will keep fans busy for quite a while.
Mystique has a lot of personality. They provide plenty of information about each model, including what it was like to work with her, where else you've seen her, and the usual vital stats. The girls also have audio files where they discuss other bits about their lives. If you want more, you can download Mystique wallpapers to your cellphone. It's touches like these that make a site stand out.
Great viewing options. Galleries are offered with four image sizes, zip files, and a slideshow. Videos can be streamed in Flash and Quicktime, and downloaded in Windows Media, Quicktime, iPod, DivX, and Real.
Could get expensive.
They have a unique pricing structure that could cause things to get pretty expensive. You pay $30 a month for 50 credits. Each gallery costs 4 credits. So your first month you get access to 12 galleries for your $30. If you want to buy additional sets, it'll cost you about $5 per gallery. Ouch! That could really add up fast. The good news is that each month you remain a member you get more credits.
No updates.
There are no update dates or logs provided, but as best we can tell based on site growth (as in, it's not growing) it doesn't look like the site is updating. With it nearly being a PPV site, maybe they feel updates are unnecessary, since it will take members a while to see everything anyway. At any rate, it doesn't look like anything new is being added.
Some of the videos were zipped (which is annoying extra step, in my opinion) and some of them came up as misnamed files. This didn't happen a lot, but I did come across a couple.
Would love to see them make the move to HD videos! These scenes look good as is, but a site like this really needs high definition videos now to keep ahead of the quality curve.
Slow downloads. With rates topping out at 600kbps, it took longer than it should to download these movies.
A gorgeous, high quality original collection for softcore fans.
Mystique Magazine really impressed me, with their collection of such high quality original content. It's always nice to visit a softcore site that is still utterly sexy in every way. The high price may hurt them with some potential fans, but others may feel it is money well spent to enjoy such a gorgeous set of photos and videos.
