(recurring)John Dragon is up for review today, though we're not really reviewing the guy named John, just his website with the same name. I've looked at his site a few times before, and all in all, things look similar this time around. The site doesn't give you much information on John, but I assume he's some kind of producer/photographer, and all the material you'll see here is his. The site itself looks very amateur, and a lot of the content seems to be produced in years past, which always takes away from the site for me. Anyway, membership isn't too bad at $20 a month, so let's hop inside.
The site just doesn't really do it for me; there are too many problems.
I'd say the main reason to join most sites is because you like the content they offer. Here, the content is okay, but it's not very exciting to me. It's all pretty generic, and a lot of it just seems old and dated. Then you get to the site itself, which is even worse. It's horrible to get around and find stuff, the design is almost non-existent, and there are no real options for anything from navigation, to video options, to picture options, or even basic scene descriptions. I appreciate the size and that updates still come pretty regularly, but I think you have to do more to compete these days, and John Dragon's site just doesn't hold up to the competition as it is.
