Unique bondage anime content.

The idea here is to focus on the BDSM action of anime. Actually, when you think about it, a lot of anime has some pretty rough aspects to it, but I guess these guys make sure it's featured in one way or another. So the content should be at least a little different from the softer stuff some other anime sites put out.

Lots to see here.

With over 400 DVDs online currently, there's definitely a decent amount to see here. I think the large collection is an important aspect of the site, as they have non-exclusive content. Each DVD probably has at least a few scenes, so expect over 1,500 scenes by my guess.

They update weekly with a full new DVD, which isn't too bad overall. Assuming each DVD has a few scenes, you can average it out to a new scene every two days or less.

Navigation needs work.

For how large the site is, they just need more navigation and search features to help you wade through everything. Tagging or categorizing scenes would help a lot, in my opinion. Plus, the initial display order is not my first choice as I'd rather see the newest stuff first (thought they are easily findable at least).

Non-exclusive content.

Of course, with most content coming from DVDs from what I can tell, other sites could have pretty similar material overall. They do help make up for this with numbers, but in niche content like this, if you've seen other similar sites, there's a chance you've seen some of the material before.

Quality isn't great at times.

Some of the content just seems pretty old overall, as in maybe 10 years old. Then, they have to convert them to digital format, and may lose some quality there as well. It's up and down a bit, but I'd say that the quality, overall, is a little below average for what we're used to.

There seem to be lots of preview clips from other anime sites, along with upsells to those sites here for some reason. I'd prefer if they just stuck to their own stuff mostly.

The site logs you out way too quickly with some inactivity. When writing this review, I'd often go check some things out, and start writing. I had to re-login probably 3-4 times which got quite annoying.

While they have videos, there are no photo galleries here at all, which may disappoint some.

A decent-sized collection of kinda unique material, but it never jumps out as awesome.

Bondanime has the basics of a good site with a lot to see and a unique niche. However, something is holding them back, though it's tough to put my finger on it exactly. The site feels a little older with lower quality, poor navigation, and a lack of options. I think it's worth a look to check it out, though it's not all that different from some other anime sites in my opinion. It's not bad, but they could do a little more to really make the site stand out from the crowd in my opinion.
