Intro

HD Porn Pass is a network of niche sites with downloadable hardcore movies that emphasizes high-definition content as their main focus. Nowadays more and more video (and photography) sites are offering higher quality material as surfers have come to expect that from paysites. The network here uses HD as their main concept and then beyond that it's a fairly straightforward network set-up in that there are various niche sites focused on things like young adults, toys, lesbian, asian, big boob, etc. This company actually has many other paysites beyond just these and those are included with membership as well.

The Pros

Sizable Network, Mix of Hardcore, Lesbian, & Solo Girl Niches.

HD Porn Pass has a blend of popular niches that you'd expect from a hardcore network. Boy/girl, girl/girl, and solo girl action can be found throughout the network. The models are sexy pro pornstars and overall the content has a polished studio feel to it. So it's definitely more a professional collection of porn than an amateur/reality style network. The videos are clearly the focus of the content but each site also has picture galleries available as well.

High-Res WMV Downloads, Also QT Files & Streaming Options.

The movies are available in HD quality WMV downloadable files along with a standard quality WMV and standard QT format as well. All three of the choices are available for in-browser streaming in addition to downloading. The specs on the WMV HD are 2000k 1280x720 and the options are consistent throughout all the videos on the network which is notable since that's not always the case in collections like this.

High Quality Picture Galleries for Each Site.

In addition to the videos there is a dedicated section in the network member's area for All Galleries. From that page it%u2019s possible to view the galleries by site. The pictures are high quality and sharp which fits with the overall HD theme.

Other Good Stuff:

Download speed is pretty fast and download manager use is allowed (test software: IDM).
Update log with daily additions (usually 2 new videos) to the network.

The Cons

Video Specs are Right on the Cusp of HD Level Quality.

With this network having HD as its main theme it's important to go over the movie options/specs in detail. The 1280x720 2000k are high-res level although they leave it as that without other options. The HD files are only in WMV and there aren't other formats at that level. With some HD oriented paysites pushing specs to levels of 1980x1020 5000k it makes this networks HD stuff look good but not great. Overall they do deliver HD quality content but don't go beyond the basics in terms of having lots of options or pushing the limit of ultra high-res levels.

Some Scenes are Broken into Parts w/out Full-Shoot Files.

This seems to be hit-or-miss in that some shoots are available in one file while others are broken into parts and downloadable in those segments only. They probably break down the longer shoots but in reality for members this means some movies can be gotten in one whole file while others are not available like that.

Navigation is Rather Basic, No Model Index & Little Shoot Info.

The member's area is clean and easy enough to use however they haven't developed any search or navigation tools beyond just the browse-all-content or browse-by-site choices. There is not a model index or advanced search function both of which would make sense for a collection like this.

Minor Negatives:

Upon opening an individual video page the in-browser stream always starts playing and then it's possible to select download or other stream options.
The downloadable movie files do not have any file size or length information posted.
Photo galleries have no zip files or image size/quality options.
There are some upsells in the member's area and join page cross-sells.

Bottom Line

A network with high-quality video downloads with well known pornstar models.

What HD Porn Pass does best is have consistently high quality videos throughout their entire network. This collection is best suited for surfers who like recognizable pro models in studio style porn with a polished feel to it. Where the site could improve is on things like navigation tools and providing more information about the shoots. Also, since HD is their focus I'd like to see them press the issue with additional HD formats/options and push the specs higher.
