Adult Comics World

Intro

Adult Comics World is up for review today, and it's pretty much as expected here with a large collection of comics to check out. I can't tell much from the tour about what types of content they offer, and don't even know if it's exclusive here (I doubt it). They just provide a large archive of all types of comics for the most part, ranging from standard sex to horror scenes. There are no videos, but most of the comics at least are in series so you have a lot to check out. $30 a month seems a little high, but most similar sites are about that price anyway I think.

The Pros

Lots of content up.

They have a current content count on most pages, and right now they're a bit over 1,400 galleries comprised of almost 43,000 separate images, which seems good to me. Granted, each comic has a cover that isn't all too exciting, but it gives it some personality. More images are put up daily it looks like, which is always good.

Updates come often.

It looks like they add usually one (and sometimes two) images per day to the site, growing the comic collection quite regularly. The updates aren't huge, but at least they come often and should help the site continue to grow.

Other Good Stuff:

Their gallery setup is pretty simple as you can leave your mouse in one place and click over to the next image one after another. I think they may have keyboard shortcuts as well, though I'm not sure where to find that info.

The Cons

Navigation is a bit confusing.

With a lot of content, and a lot of different types of content, getting around isn't the easiest. There are different sections here and there to check out, but I never felt like I had seen everything. Their lists are too short (only five previous updates listed without a longer list anywhere else that I could find), and I just feel that more options would help. The search only looks in the titles, which isn't the greatest either.

Some images look scanned in.

For once, some of the images didn't quite live up to what I expected quality-wise. Usually these comic sites look so good, but some of these images looked over-compressed when they were scanned in or something. There were little artifacts that probably shouldn't be there in my estimation.

Minor Negatives:

Of course, there are no videos here since it's a comic only site. Since some similar sites do offer a little video, I thought I'd mention it still.
I don't think that this material is exclusive, though it's really hard to tell for a site like this.

Bottom Line

A large collection, but nothing too special in the end for me.

The size really matters the most here at Adult Comics World. It's the one thing that stood out as unique, as I feel it's a little larger than a normal comic site (then again, it's not huge like some archives we've seen). From there, it's a pretty standard site. The images look okay but do show some artifacts at times; the navigation is a bit of a mess, though they do divide things out into different sections; and the updates come daily, though it's only a single image usually. It does just fine without ever standing out for me, and so it'll probably blend in with the other similar sites we see in the genre.
