Intro

Alternadudes is a new site to me, but it looks as though the rest of our team has already had a chance to check it out. And I'm excited for this one since it's not very often you see gay porno featuring skater dudes, punks, hipsters, gothic, and just otherwise alternative looking guys; piercings, tattoos, you get the idea. Forget twinks and jocks, this is Alternadudes and inside the members area you will find over 150 of these guys in almost 200 scenes, most of which also offer digital images, and there are even a few homemade amateur scenes thrown in for fun.

The Pros

Original Gay Scenes With Alternative Guys.

This isn't your run of the mill gay site with pornstars, twinks, or even jocks. The guys you will find here are all amateur alternative types with tattoos, piercings, punk rock hair-dos, goth..you get the idea. But you can expect inside is still some great hardcore action along with some solo content as well. There are close to 200 movies here currently and they've even been adding some user-submitted scenes as well, for a little more at-home action.

It's worth mentioning that Alternadudes prides itself on quality over quantity. So although it may not seem as though there are as many images here, just know that they've gone ahead and made sure each set delivers only the best.

HD Scenes.

With the exception of the user-submitted content, the latest videos being offered have bitrate speeds over 4000k-8000k and look really great! Even the older videos with 2000k bitrate speeds are holding up well, but the HD scenes really shine!

Lengthy Scene & Model Info.

Further adding to the sites personality is lengthy scene descriptions for each update. A model index lists the "Alternadudes" along with some bio stats and a quick paragraph about them. This adds to the sites personality and beefs up the content, in a way. Some even offer interview videos, which is great.

Good Viewing & Download Options.

Latest videos offer low, medium, high and even HD settings for streaming Flash formats. Download options include 2 quality options for MP4 format along with a WMV file and one for your mobile device. High res ZIPs are offered for the image sets to round it all out.

Other Good Stuff:

Scenes are date-stamped with update information plus members can post feedback/comments on the scene and model pages.
Extras include a fairly active blog, model interviews, themed calendars, bonus content, etc.
A tag cloud is used to help member's browse scenes by keyword specifics like: skater, jerk off, Latino, solo, tattoos, blowjob, big dick, hairy, etc.

The Cons

Site Design Could be Better.

While getting around and enjoying the scenes is by no means difficult, I agree with Duke that the interview and different model scenes (solo, interview, music video, etc.) would be easier browsed if they were listed by model. And other than the model index and tag cloud, there are no other sort, search or browse features to help users get around the scenes.

Minor Negatives:

I was able to use a download manager and got decent download speeds, but they're single channel and I found the site completely non-browse-able while the videos were downloading, which is a pain.
Some scenes only offer screen caps.
No WMV option for HD scenes.

Bottom Line

A great site for those turned on by punks, skaters & otherwise alternative dudes.

I really enjoyed the scenes here and think it's a great alternative site for those of you sick of the same old gay porno types, or simply for those of you attracted to alternative looking men; punks, skaters, goth, tattooed and pierced, and hardcore. The video quality varies some, even with the HD scenes but is overall great. I love the newest addition of user-submitted content, lengthy scene info and all the extras. This is a great site and certainly worth the initial price of $29.95, recurring at just $19.95 thereafter.
