Intro

Flava Men is up for review today, and this is a site based off a magazine by the same name. They feature mostly solo black male content, plus some hardcore action from time to time as well. Each photo set that you'd see in the magazine is here, plus they have a video to go along with it. It's not a huge site, but the content seems to be exclusive at least. Just $15 a month gets you in the door which isn't bad at all.

The Pros

Newer videos look pretty nice (HD).

A lot of the videos here come in high definition and look decent overall. It's surprising because the pictures are so small, but they put some effort into the video quality at least. Everything coming out these days is in HD, so I'd expect the same going forward.

Other Good Stuff:

Their content appears to be all-exclusive here. The guys can appear in multiple scenes, and the videos have a familiar feel to them.
At over 160 scenes, the site isn't too small at least. I'd still love some growth, but they're larger than many sites we come across these days.
The $15 price tag is definitely nice to see. They don't have a ton to see or do at times, so I like that they've priced themselves lower than most sites.

The Cons

Site is pretty plain overall.

The whole site layout and navigation are quite plain here. It looks like it was designed a few years ago and kinda just left alone. Having to go through each magazine one at a time just to get to the galleries is a bit of a pain. Plus, there's no search or categories or anything, so say trying to find the hardcore scenes is more difficult than it needs to be for instance.

Older quality isn't as good.

Once you get past the HD videos, things don't look as nice here. Plus, on top of that, I'd venture to say that all of the photos here are too damn small. They're well below the average for what we see these days, even though they look pretty professional in terms of photography.

Doesn't update often.

They add a new magazine 3x a year on average lately, and each magazine has between 1-4 sets available. That's less than a new scene each month which is rather slow overall. I would have hoped they'd at least put a magazine out monthly, and that each one was consistently large.

Minor Negatives:

There are no zip files available here for the photo galleries, which may be annoying for some.

The downloads came in on the slow side here, mostly because you can't use download managers at all. They were around 1/6th of my usual speed.

Bottom Line

It's not huge, but you can get an okay collection at a decent price at least.

Flava Men definitely is not the most memorable site in the world, but for just $15, you can get yourself some fun content to check out for a month or two at least. The site is very plain and could use an upgrade. And the content numbers aren't the best either, especially when coupled with the slow update schedule. But, the scenes are exclusive, and the latest videos all come in HD. The pictures could be larger, but look well done. Overall, like I said, I don't think this is very memorable or anything, but it's not a terrible site to check out as a one-off join for some fun.
