Intro

Torrid Art is a glamour photography site from Ryder Aedan Perry. The site features and exclusive collection of his erotic photography that he describes as 'spanning the gap between porn and art'. Visitors can get a good feel for the type of shoots and models available from the samples shown on the guest tour. The site has been online for a number of years and until recently they stuck strictly to pictures but in mid-2012 they established a small section of videos.

The Pros

Exclusive Softcore Glamour Photography, Stylish Shoots.

Torrid Art has archives back to 2006 so it has a nice track record and history. Content revolves around softcore glamour photos of sexy American models along with some foreign Europeans and Asians sprinkled in as well. The shoots deliver artistic and professional style that you'd want to see from a photography site like this.

Ultra High-Res Photos, Multiple Sizes for Online Pics & Zips.

Photo quality is something that softcore sites like this should deliver on. Torrid does very well with nearly all the galleries having a top level of 4000x2667. They also have three other medium and lower image size options. All are available for both online viewing and in zip files. The few videos that have been added are in HD WMV and MP4 1280x720 specs with a mid-level in each format as well.

Clean Design, Model Index & Year/Month Archive.

The layout makes things easy to get around with a chronological listing of the content broken down by year/month. The model index is probably the best navigation method with models having all their sets in one place and a written bio along with physical stats and background details.

Other Good Stuff:

There is a webmaster blog that gets updated about once or twice per month. There is also a dedicated section for behind-the-scenes photos which is decent sized.
They have begun to add some videos. Until recently this was strictly a photo site so it's nice to see them venture into the video realm.

The Cons

Mid-Sized Glamour/Photography Site, Not a Ton of Models.

There are a lot of glamour sites of this genre out there either dedicated to one photographer like Torrid or larger collections. With just under one hundred models the site is medium sized and it would be nice to see them increase the total number of models.

Videos Section is Newer & Still Very Small.

The videos part of the site is a new addition and they just have a handful of scene online at the time of this review. They got going late on this considering the site has been around for years. Obviously most models don't have any video content and these videos are more 'making of' style with camera snaps and flashes going off in the background as they take photos during the video shoot. I wish they'd add some erotic video-only type movies.

Minor Negatives:

Many shoots are broken down into a couple photo gallery parts which are added as separate updates.
There is a 1GB per day download limit. That can be reached relatively easily with the ultra high-res photo zips which average around 75-150MB in size.

The other

Billing is done thru CCBill which should be familiar to most users. They have recurring and non-recurring membership options.

Bottom Line

A solid glamour photography collection with high-res photos & several years of archives.

Torrid Art delivers nicely when it comes to having exclusive content, very high-res photos, and nice download zip options. The site has been a going concern for years so they've built up a nice history there. The videos section is the main weakness as it remains essentially just a photo site currently.
