Intro

Private Classics is a collection of archived magazines by Swedish porn producer Private. Here you'll find some of their hottest publications from the 1960s - 1980s. It's a wild retro collection that takes a uniquely vintage-European look at porn from 40 years ago.

The Pros

Unique archive of magazines.

You've got to love porn from the 60s-80s. There's such a unique style and look to the women, men, and even just the scenes. Private has done a great job at capturing that in this collection of both solo and hardcore scenes. It's the big hair, the fuzzy muffs, and crazy fashion choices that you hate to love. With a collection that includes many big name European pornstars from yesteryear, Private Classics is sure to entertain.

I was really impressed with how large many of these images were! Plenty go over 3000 x 2000. While they still maintain an older, vintage feel, they were surprisingly large and professionally done.

Other Good Stuff:

The site design is very clean and the graphics looked good.

The Cons

Not a large site.

The collection only contains 86 magazines. At 20 or so images per magazine, there just isn't a lot of content here. It won't take long at all to see everything.

No update info.

There's no update log and none of the scenes are dated. It looks like new material is being added once or twice a month, but it's hard to say for sure what kind of schedule they're operating on.

Minor Negatives:

This is a photo-only site. There's no video content. That makes sense in a way, since this is vintage magazine content, but Private does make some great movies and access to that would be a nice bonus.
Many of the galleries only provide the year in which is what shot. There's no info on who the model is or anything else.

Bottom Line

An interesting look at Private's magazine archive on a fairly solid, if small, site.

Private has been entertaining fans for decades and I love that they offer members a chance to check out some of their earlier magazine work. This is a solid site with surprisingly good content considering the age of much of it. The site isn't large, though, and it won't take long to see all of it. For $30 a month, a bit more content and consistent weekly updates would be expected. Still, the unique nature of the content is sure to satisfy many fans.
