Intro

Vintage Gay Loops is a gay site featuring gay videos from the past. We're mainly talking 1970s era porn, a time of mustaches and condom-free sex. Vintage Gay Loops offers some of the popular gay hardcore videos and a look at gay sex 30 years ago.

The Pros

Unique gay collection.

It isn't often I come across vintage gay porn like this. I was really drawn into the collection, checking out the different styles of dress and movie-making. Of course, the sex hasn't changed much! The guys back then loved a good steamy romp as much as their contemporary counterparts do. You'll see blowjobs, anal, masturbation, and group gay sex in this hardcore collection.

Other Good Stuff:

The videos can be streamed in Flash in two quality settings and downloaded as a wmv in two quality settings.
The site is pretty good-sized, with 140 scenes currently online. A new video is added weekly.

The Cons

Video quality is appropriate for the genre, which isn't a good thing.

These scenes are decades old and that's clear the moment the scene begins. The video is choppy at times with what I can only call reel lines on them. They remind me of projector movies, which they very well could be since they pre-date VHS. They've digitally remastered them as much as possible and they play at 2000k, so no problems there, it's just the nature of the collection and visitors should keep that in mind.

Minor Negatives:

The small photo section is really secondary to the video collection. Keep in mind that this really isn't a photo site.
Very little information is provided for the scenes and models. There are no descriptions or biographies on the site.
These are all non-exclusive scenes from movies produced years ago. Although it's unlikely you'll find them on too many other sites, if you've spent much time looking at vintage gay erotica you may recognize some of these scenes.
Not enough information is provided for the scenes. In particular, I'd like to know more about the actors and when exactly they were filmed.

The other

There's no dialogue or original audio tracks in any of the movies. All of the scenes have instrumental music added in.

Bottom Line

It's retro, baby! An entertaining vintage collection on a fine site.

Vintage Gay Loops is a solid site for anyone looking to enjoy a little gay porn from yesteryear. They offer a nice-size collection, some good user features, and a discount price. While the quality is quite poor, that should really be expected coming in to a site like this. All in all, a very good value for fans of classic gay porn.
